The big buzzwords in the world of Cryptocurrency sure are; decentralised, and lambo and moon and fiat and many others. But one word you probably won't hear as equally much but which governs the Crypto world is that Crypto instills Trustlessness in you.
Bitcoin came as a peer-to-peer mode of financial payment, all because of the distrust for the traditional financial institutions, and so it created a means for us to circumvent the financial institutions and control our money ourselves.
If you are truly into Cryptocurrency and Blockchain, you grow a lot of distrust for the Government and traditional bodies, and pretty soon that distrust spreads to a lot of things also. You are first always scrambling to control your funds and private keys yourself, and this many times has an effect in your real life. You learn to trust way less more.
For me, Cryptocurrency has made me less trusting of everybody and everything. Its sometimes funny and sad because even in my relationships and personal lives, I have grown a distrust for everyone lol, become a cynic just like my bio says lol. The good part about it all is that it prepares you for others to disappoint cos they sure will lol.
So a lot of things to thank Crypto for, aren't there. Has this trustlessness also affected you?
