The Psychology of Toys and Games
Psychological development is very important for the growth and development of a child and there are several ways that affects it and usually it’s a cause of one’s deviant act as they grow older.
Have you ever heard the cases of Ted Bundy wherein he killed more than 30 women. In his official confessions, he told investigators how he strangled his victims with a rope even as he raped them; Dahmer would make love with the dead bodies of his male victims after killing them; Peter Sutcliffe, He was found guilty of murdering 13 women and attempting to kill seven others, most of them prostitutes; and Theodore John Kaczynski, He was described as a Unabomber by the press for selecting universities and airlines for his targets.
They became deviant because during their childhood year they were neglected from having a happy and informative living experience, they have been isolated, parents were divorced, and they never met their father and were not given any special attention as they grew older. They developed low self-esteem, depression, frustration and had that drive for control and power since they had been bullied as a child.
To address this untoward development, psychologists have suggested that at a young age kids need to be exposed in playing toys and games which will give them the chance to explore and interact with the world on their own and experience a wide variety of psychological benefits. Some toys like Lego and building blocks-help children develop math, science and problem solving skills. Games like charades will develop their imagination and interaction skills.
As parents, either you are together or separated or maybe a solo parent, be at least aware that toy will bring not just fun to your kids or divert your lacking as parent but it will benefit them and will be much thankful to you when they grow up.
Here are as some psychological benefit of toys and games to a growing child:

Discovering their independence and positive self-esteem
They will be able to overcome all of life’s obstacles
They learn to walk, talk socialize acquire knowledge, grow emotionally and develop social and spatial awareness
To all parent don’t be afraid to give all the toys and educational toys with your child because aside from psychological development it brings both joy and laughter, seeing a child lay their first smile or giggles while playing is very heart warning and sometimes relieves those frustration that stress brings you. Have some time playing with them even if it’ll make you silly, but that simple game with you has a deeper impact to a child’s emotional build up, they will feel how much you love them and protect them, games are their modes of understanding the level of affection you show them and even if you leave or they don’t see you often, all their minds will remember is how to spent your free time playing games with them.
