The Caribbean is a great place to feel the warm sunshine. You can walk through the market to buy an array of fruits and vegetables. Locally grown produce which includes bananas, pumpkins, carrots, pawpaw and yam are commonly found in the market.

There are lots of seasoning such as thyme, garlic, onion, chive, pimento and peppers. Apart from vegetables, you would also see meat, poultry and sea food (fish, crab, conch) for sale.

These vendors hustle their products, sometime shouting the bargain price. Nutmeg, spice, sweets, rice cake, jelebi, sugar cake and doubles are for treats. These taste really good. After market on Sunday, you could be sure to eat calaloo. A dish made from dasheen leaves (dasheen bush), which is served with rice or macaroni pie etc. Paleau and crab and dumpling is also very popular.

The market is a very good place to buy fruits, vegetables and other stuff. Anyone can easily access Caribbean produce, which plays a vital part in our daily life.
