'We don't see the real reason'
If we want to find out the cause of addiction, we must first understand what we get as a result of addiction.
People usually say, "It relieves me of pain, keeps me away from stress, gives me the feeling of being able to control some kind of situation. I feel like I'm really alive, the excitement, the intense feeling, etc."
In other words, addiction meets some special needs of a person which were not being met in his life.
Lack of attention at these stages, loneliness and stress cause people to become emotional.
Judging by the number of drug addicts, it can be seen that most of those who have had a very bad childhood are at risk of becoming addicted to drugs.

Addiction treatment does not require punishment, intimidation or criticism, but requires a lot of patience, a lot of help and a lot of understanding.
Many medical and rehabilitation initiatives worldwide have failed to curb addiction.
Now the question is, do we really understand the situation? Maybe not.
We do not notice the suffering of the addicted person at all.
'People are not addicted on purpose'

One of the popular ideas about addiction is to go that route intentionally or as a hobby. But that is not the case most of the time.
The structure of the society around us is such that if any person becomes addicted, punish him.
"I don't know anyone who woke up one morning thinking, 'I'm going to get addicted today!'
It is not a matter of choice, it is either to escape from emotional pain or to survive. And no one loves to be in pain.
'Addiction is not genetic'
No one is addicted to genetics or heredity.

Another common notion in the society about drug addiction is that it is inherited.
Dr. Mate's question - if I get drunk, and I keep abusing my child all the time, and he wants to drink alcohol to avoid it, can it be called hereditary?
It's not a problem of race, it's a problem of surroundings.
As a result, the family needs to behave responsibly and logically first. Then others in the society also need to feel sympathy for the person next to them.
There are many kinds of addiction in the society
Another common belief is that only those who are addicted to drugs are addicted.
But it can also be due to a particular culture of the society.

There is a tendency among some people to drink alcohol nationally or culturally. Some groups make their own products.
It’s their culture, so other treatments for addiction won’t come in handy here.
'You may be addicted to music too'
According to Dr. Met, what we generally mean by addiction is a kind of temporary peace that people repeatedly turn to. And after a certain period of time, the demand for it is created again.
It could be cigarettes, it could be drugs, it could be alcohol. Maybe sex, gambling, shopping, work, political power, playing games on the internet --- a lot of things.
One can get the same kind of pleasure by working.
But people also turn to music for peace of mind.

Addiction may be a feeling hidden in a person's subconscious that he may not be good enough. Maybe he has to prove something and maybe no one loves him.
"Then some people dive into the work - like me", said Dr. Mate.
"When I tell my story to my drug-addicted patients, they say yes, doctor, you're just like us.
