At the time of my grand father and father generation literally they were away from kitchen chores. But those times were ruled by some traditions and cultures. But if we see those traditions and cultural taboos from logical point of view then yes they were correct. Those times men used to work out doors and women indoors.But even men used to get chance once a month to cook food in the kitchen . In some religion women were thought to be untouchable at her mensuration time. But now when we think deep, that was a wrong word given 'untouchable ' to that period .In fact it was the rest time for women in the house because it is the time when female feel weakness. Slowly few of the men practically went for cooking and household chores.
My dad was an army. As we know army is trained for all his survival skills. whenever my dad visited home, I found him in the kitchen . It was not because my mom was there but he was so good in cooking and he loved cooking . He loved to serve tasty food. My mother used to get so free from the kitchen. I never ever visited to restaurants and hotels in my childhood . But whenever my father visited home , he always introduced food of foreign countries by cooking with his own hands. I tasted french fries for the first time cooked by my father. He used to decorate the plate so well. He was fantastic cook.But now he is old and weak. We used to love his appearance in the kitchen because he used to be the best chef in the house.
I am some how convinced by my friend that, men in the kitchen will be much better then women. Men doesn't have long nails,long hair and period in a month. They are far more hygienic then women regarding hygiene cooking .Here i didn't mean that women are dirty. But hygienically if we have to think then it comes the same answer to common minds.
In the joint family of 20 people. There are at least 5 females to cook food and serve . But why do we see male chef in the restaurants kitchen ?Most of them says that males have strong muscles to carry utensils . I remember my village marriage ceremonies of my childhood . I used to wander why these uncles were cooking food in the largest pot? But why not our aunties and mothers doing that? In my village every ceremonies ,parties are organized by dividing all the works between the local people and relatives. But for hundreds of people the food is cooked by the group of men. They cook all the menu items for the marriage. Yes, and that taste so good. Once I asked my grand mom that why males are there in the kitchen and why females are not? She said males cook more tastier food than us. And also they are strong enough to carry large pots. And sweetheart these males have nothing more to do in this marriage function then to play cards."
Today ,at the age of early 30's i understood that male in the kitchen are more beautiful.They are more likely to be happy to serve us. The male in the kitchen is the symbol of care and respect to his belonging women. He feels better the mensuration pain of women in a month, he carries the load of the pregnant wife by taking her launch and dinner on her bed, he knows better that his mother legs are not strong enough to stand in the kitchen for so long, and he better knows that his sister has also to do her project and graduate like him,he knows better cooking food for 365 days is boring and he better knows it's not the sexiest thing about male and female. It's just cooking, who ever is hungry can cook food and eat.
