In our world, there are many organisms that we frequently seen in our eyes. Even it is big or small. But now, we will talk about the biggest tarantula that we can see.
It's overall color is russet brown to black, and there are distinct spines on the third and fourth pair of legs. It's body measures can reach up to 4.75 inches(12 centimeters) with a leg span of up to 11 inches(28 centimeters). This tarantula called, GOLIATH BIRD-EATING TARANTULA. Even this creature has an eight eyes, they can't see much, they uses their hair on their legs and abdomen to sense vibration on the ground or in the air.
This creature lives in the rainforest regions of Northern South America. Venezuela, Northern Brazil, Guyana, French Guiana and Suriname was included. We can found this creatures under rocks and roots and in silk-lined burrows.
If they want to defend themselves, they rub hairs together to create a hissing noise that is very loud and can be heard 15 feet away. As its name has a term "bird-eating", but they don't eat birds frequently. They eat anything smaller than it is, including mice, frogs, lizards, invertibrates and birds.
When their reach their maturity, the male develops a "finger" on the underside of the first set of their front legs that can be use in hooking and locking female's fangs and to steady themselves while they mate. After mating, the males will die within a few months. Once the female mated, it makes a web in which she lays 50 to 200 eggs. That become fertilized as they passed out of her body.
The lifespan of Goliath Bird-Eating Tarantula can be 10-15 years in human care. The females can live up to 20 years and males can only live between 3 and 6 years.
