  • Hello everyone 👋.. Happy new week to us all, we all need to buckle our seat belt for there is a new journey ahead of us because its a new week...

This is my first blog/article here on this platform, before thinking of any topic I was so excited about the new journey that I have just started and I was out of ideas no matter how much I think about one, but first I'd like to make a little introduction...

  • Who Am I?

Well am a nobody trying to be a somebody, I couldn't think of a better username so I decided to pick "Depressed"...

  • Why Pick Depressed When There Are Tons Of Nicknames/Username To Use?

Well within the past 7 months I have been battling with two things and that's myself and depression so I find it interesting to use it as a username...

I'd Love To Talk About Depression And Ways To Ease Depression...

Depression

A lot of people have heard about the word 'Depression' and not all of them have been depressed so they don't actually know how its feels...

What Is Depression?

In a simply word depression can said to be a mood disorder, and it causes loss of interest and also sadness.... Depression affects thinking due to how sad one feels...

WHAT CAUSES DEPRESSION?

Depression is been caused by a lot of things, and according to reports over 300 million people are living in depression ( world wide )...

For most people who are been depressed you'd figure out the reason behind their depression if you create chance for a proper conversation from the heart....

With that being done you'd know the kinda load they have been carry all alone, most of them have even been depressed even before they know it....

Most depression are caused by some traumatic life encounter, you'd see a major reason down below..

  • losing someone/something precious to you

  • Traumatic life experience etc..

These are one of the major reasons

SYMPTOMS OF DEPRESSION

Symptoms of depression includes the following down below...

  • Energy loss

  • Losing interesting in things/activities you used to love and enjoy

  • Suicidal thoughts etc..

With common sense we'd know the causes and the symptoms of depression are linked together for example before a person is starts having symptoms of depression he/she would have gone through the cause of it....

Suicidal thoughts is also a symptom of depression, and he/she is having a suicidal thoughts because they have already gone through the cause... Either the person has lost someone/something precious to them or maybe they just can't escape and forget a traumatic life experience....

WHAT DEPRESSION FEELS LIKE...

Most depressed Kids/Adult can't explain what depression feels like, they are not to be blamed for that because its kinda difficult to explain it to those who haven't felt it....

  • Depression is like searching for your home when your already in it...

  • Depression is like being sad and angry at the same time but you might not even know the reason why your been sad and angry..

  • Depression is like an endless pit, you just keep falling without seeing where your headed..

  • Depression is like being lost in the woods when its cold in the winter season, sun is down, no matches, no fire, no sleeping bag and no one knows your missing... You feels so hopeless and helpless while you ask yourself if you can make it through the night...

  • Depression makes you feel like this world is not worth living, your souls is hurt and your body feels numb to the pain...

  • Depression makes you feel too tired to care because your already empty and broken....

Most people who are depressed do rely on people to make you happy and for me I think that's one of the biggest mistake because they don't actually understand how you feel....

Find your peace, Do what makes you happy, make yourself happy, forgive yourself and forgive those who have once hurt you in the past, hit the gym, watch the sunrise and watch the sunset...

I know its hard to fight your inner demons so wipe off your tears and swallow that lump in your throat, don't hesitate to try something new and with time you'd find happiness...

How To Ease Depression

Well for those who are depressed am wishing you the best and hopefully you get over it...

There are many ways to ease depression, and most of them are just temporary..

Look for what makes you happy and keep doing it.. Go see a therapist and hopefully you'd be calm for a while, hit the gym, interact with people and find your inner peace, move out of your comfort zone and before thinking of suicidal thoughts don't forget you are loved... 💓

Depressed people shouldn't be overlooked because 70%-80% of them are having suicidal thoughts because they fill like they won't get a chance to be their old self once again...

Closing thoughts

For everyone out there who is depressed I wish and pray you win the battle, don't relent and don't give up.. and I pray someday you'd get better....

thanks for the post. yeah, it's hard, sometimes i just cry without any reason even if im on meds already. but my condition has improved alot. looking forward for more of your posts :-)
