It's been celebrated with gusto. It's the most wonderful time of the year and Filipinos are eagerly awaiting the "Paskuhan" season. It is also a time when schools hold their annual fiesta - a moment for students to reunite with their old friends and teachers, to throw their minds into a haze of happiness, to taste what it means to be part of something bigger than themselves in this vast world - it is an act that helps them grow in leaps and bounds despite all odds. But the big problem is, the pandemic still resides and all of this, for now, is just a big bubble bursting in thin air.
Looking at things on a small scale, we probably wonder what it's like to have a "better" government?
Food and medicines, ready for disposal anytime the country needs them.
Medical assistance and relief goods projects on every barangay or every city.
Regular provision of monthly allowance for every family or for anyone who doesn't have the means to produce and reproduce funds to buy other necessities.
And as for the people, the people are disciplined, promotes social distancing and aseptic technique in all of the things exposed, may it be in public or even in the comforts of their own home.
But the thing is... It's not.
And upon checking and reading different news information, articles, research, and citizen reports. Every country has its flaws and has something bad to say about its government. It only means that if you look into the fine details of every photo displayed on the big screen, you would definitely see that everything makes sense.
No matter who is to rule the country, the countrymen, will always see flaws, limitations, disability and would always point fingers at their leader, regressing every action and decision done by these appointed rulers.
Human beings are designed this way. Insecurities, self-righteousness, and the sense of being the victim in this "cruel" world are just a simple sense of how you would grasp everyone's "script".
Now, now... before you get all rude and start pointing out that what I mentioned was wrong, let me tell you first, what separates other people who don't seem to show this kind of attitude, from those who vaguely show it.
First, let me reiterate, mankind is design this way. If you are religious then you would relate, that even at the beginning of times, in the garden of Eden with Adam and Eve, Cain and Saul, you get my point right?
Now let's say you are not and you don't believe in any of this "Higher Being" hullabaloo... then how about people and the case of Princess Diana? Martin Luther King Jr.? And the list keeps on going and going and going...
You see, it doesn't matter if you do good to someone, that someone will always think ill of you. Just set him up with the perfect reason not to admire you, and then boom! One moment you are a saint, the next thing you know you are the embodiment of the devil.
Until the time we human beings are susceptible to temptation, influence, and change, then, therefore, we are not as good as we think we are. Not to others, not to political entities, not even to our family.
What separates the others from those who are 24/7 as*h*les?
In my own humble opinion, the perfect formula for anyone to be different and be a unique individual, away from the influence of negativity and insecurities of others, are faith for humanity, love for others, and correct usage of conscience.
You'd be surprised how many core ruthless prisoners, were given the chance and managed to change and repent from everything he did in the past. You'd be surprised, how many broken families, were mended because of faith and love.
And many were saved on a hostage drama, just because the felon succumbs himself to the voice of his conscience.
As simple as it may seem but this not-so-secret formula is often neglected by the current mass.
And we often forget, that we as humans, are always vulnerable no matter how hard we try to avoid it and no matter how hard we try to keep it in mind, that our ability to reform and change, isn't an easy thing to accomplish.
As a fast forward, I won't be going into the evolution of all of this but instead, I'll be focusing on the current politics and the current condition of the nation right now.
Now before we go on further, let's discuss a few things...
Since recently, the proposed Bayanihan 3, is in the hasten works to be approved, which seeks to aid Filipinos and revive the country’s economy affected by the Coronavirus pandemic. Where their goal is to immediately tackle this Act in the plenary.
And just like the first 2 parts of this "series", the question here is not whether the House will please the nation or not with the good news that it is proposing, but the question such as when will it be executed?
Since based on the record, in some parts of the country, people are still distributing the first two "Ayudas" that were supposed to be provided and distributed centuries ago. Anyways, no matter what would happen, I wanted to offer a silent prayer to touch the hearts and lives of the members of the house of representatives and all the people that handles this venture.
I am also pleading for all of the people affected by the pandemic to keep your head high and be strong to whatever life is whipping us. This pandemic does not show any signs of disappearing anytime soon, so we better always be prepared for a higher intensity of worse to come.
