Facts of the seals of Harappan civilisation

Archaeologists have excavated many seals of the Harappan civilisation. Scripts and symbols used to be witches on these seals. Most of the Harappan seals were crafted out of a certain kind of soft Stone and most of them carried a reverse design. This design was usually of some animal. Along with that there was a short inscription. On pressing the seal on wet mud the impression would appear in relief. After craving the seals, they were coated with a chemical powder and then heated. Therefore the seals used to become very hard. We come across the image of a mythical one-horned animal in most of the seals. They also carry other kinds of images. Horned-man, ox,trees, geometric motifs etc were found on Harappan seals.
