So today is the president of Nigeria's birthday (president Muhammadu Buhari) and he celebrated it in Istanbul, Turkey.

Photos shared by presidential aide, Buhari Sallau, showed the moment the President cut his birthday cake moulded in the national colours, green-white-green.

The cake was presented as a surprise to him by Nigerian delegates who chanted “Happy Birthday, Mr President,” on sighting him.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyema, who spoke on behalf of the delegation and the Ambassador of Nigeria to Turkey, Ismail Yusuf Abba, congratulated the President on the good work he is doing for the country and wished him a happy birthday, many healthy years ahead and the energy to give his best to the nation.

Onyeama noted in particular that the President continues to have a good run with his health, getting better and more active with time.

Shortly after cutting the cake, Buhari went straight to chair a planning meeting with officials in his delegation and thereafter drove to the Dolmabahce Palace for a meeting with his Turkish counterpart, Tayyip Recep Erdogan.

Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, disclosed this in a statement titled ‘Here Is How President Buhari Marked His 79th Birthday In Turkey.’

According to Shehu, “In response to the tribute on the occasion on behalf of the ministers and the rest of the delegation rendered by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, President Buhari said he will put in his best for Nigeria until the last day when in 2023 he hands over to a successor and returns to his farm to tender crops and livestock.

I look forward to going back to my farm, says Buhari

“I look forward to the year 2023 when I finish, to go home to take charge of my farm. Between now and that time, I will do the best that is possible to advance the interest of the nation and its people, and carry out my duties as prescribed by the Constitution.”

Buhari is in Istanbul to participate in the Turkey-Africa Partnership Summit. He’s expected back in Nigeria on Sunday.

According to @A.David the country is at a state of unrest but what is its president doing? flexing life and celebrating birthdays elsewhere.

If you noticed, Ismail Yusuf Abba was commending the president on the job well done. I'm still wondering, which job abeg (Nigeria slang meaning please in English). Is it leading us to poverty or making us debtor. I'm yet to understand this nonsense talk.

Many are still doubting that this is actually Muhammadu Buhari. I still believe that this man is a fraudster. During the birthday ceremony Onyeama stated that the President continues to have a good run with his health, getting better and more active with time. This is not supposed to be so for an aging supposed to be dying man. Initially in 2017 and earlier on, Buhari was always sick. He always travels for treatment. All of a sudden in 2018 he became healthy, was even spotted changing some of his habits. He was accused of being a clone because he became too fresh and young but he denied and they waved it over. The likes of Nnamdi Kanu, former minister Femi Fani-Kayode and book author Reno Omokri, instigated this belief but I'm the end they had no evidence to support their claim.

Reno's post in 2018 when Buhari changed
Nnamdi Kanu's post in 2018, as you can see even his writing habit suddenly changed.

You can see how fresh and young he looks as the time passes.

Above you can see people's reaction to a post about president Buhari (Nicknamed bubu by the public). The whole nation is angry, I've never seen a president hated by the general public like this. If you noticed some saints try to form good people praising bubu and acting like something I don't know. Haunty (Aunty in pigin English form) say what's there jare (jare/jor meaning now in Yoruba slang form).

Anyhow sha I can't wait for 2023 to approach fast so this man that claimed to be born before the country's independence will carry his wahala and go. Thank you for reading this article, feel free to drop your thoughts in the comment section below. Don't forget to subscribe and like.

So not only did he run from Nigeria, he's also enjoying a wonderful time at his birthday when the country is dying, I really can not wait for this man's tenure to run out. Thanks for this article

Mee too, so all these nonsense would finally end. Never in this life of mine have I seen any president hated by the public this much. With the state at which the country currently is, even if a good person take over...to fix this country will be very hard.
