While you go through your daily business routine, what comes to you first as a response whenever you are asked a question that requires a negative or positive answer?
For the sake of clarity, this post is meant to create a deep thoughtful provocation on the issue of saying yes or no and why we must always take a second pause before rushing to drop our response whenever it is demanded of us.
Whether we say yes or no does not matter, what matters is that we should be careful of our response i.e. we should not allow situations or events to determine how we respond to matters.
I have seen situations where one's response starts hurting him or her instantly even before he/she realises it because of quick and irrational response. Instead of saying yes, you end up saying no and instead of saying no, you end up saying yes and this response will deprive you an opportunity in your workplace or business dealings.
Before you give your response to any question always ask yourself if the response is truly worth it at that moment because whatever you say cannot be unsaid whether good or bad. As human beings, we are giving the power of reasoning above every other thing but most times we allow circumstances to direct our decisions and when this happens, it reduces us to the state of animalism even though some animals have a high rationale.
Remember that an opportunity lost out of careless response will hunt you forever because you will always blame yourself for your lack of smart thinking before responding. The human brain can process thoughts even faster than the computers but our problem most times is that we have kept our brains dormant for such a long period and this makes the brain to become dull in articulation.
Always remember the game of chess and how every player must be quick and smart with their movements so as not to lose the game.
Don’t be quick to respond rather be quick to think about the possible outcome of your response at every given time in that way you will avoid saying no or yes when you should say yes or no.
Be wise, every opportunity is your gateway to success so don’t ruin it.
