The Tie that Binds Us.

She could not stand the sight of her brother's lifeless body that was lying in the centre of the road. If she had given him a second chance was the thought that was running through her broken heart and spirit but the deed has been done. He is dead and nothing was going to change that fact. All the days of her life she will always feel sad for not allowing peace to reign between them while he was alive.

The short excerpt is what most of us pass through in life because we have cut ties that bind us as one. The very reason humanity should be the major push while we must not take things for granted when it has to do with Peace, Love and Unity. You may have millions of negative reasons why you should not give others a second chance when they offend you. One thing you must know is that death comes even when you do not know and by that time you would be regretting your actions.

Unbroken Ties.

You might be wondering why I am writing about ties and bonds today. Well, just as I have always said, I intend to use my writing to positively affect the lives of my readers and friends. This is why I keep making out every effort to bring topics like this anytime I write. Let's go straight into the business of the day.

You can't say that you do not have people with who you have created bonds. There are those we share bonds with through the blood and these are the people we must not cut ties with at all costs. Just as you have read in my first paragraph, the girl will forever feel sad because she lost the opportunity of reconciling with her brother before his death. No matter what the issue or disagreement is, you must understand that no one knows tomorrow therefore, you can't allow those disagreements to linger more than necessary. Sometimes, you can decide to take the fall in other to get the needed peace irrespective of the fact that you might ne the one who has been offended.

The moment we begin to understand that we cannot keep letting unnecessary things come between us and people we care about, that is the time we will begin to enjoy true friendship and peace. Just take a look at yourself, there must be a friend you lost some time ago because none of you was ready to take the fall. One big lesson I have learnt in life is that true friendship goes beyond what we see. There is no condition when it comes to true friendship. Our world today is suffering because we have decided to cut every tie that binds us through racism and other things. Racism has become more than a tool for disintegration in our world today. Mind you, when say racism, I am not just talking about the colour difference of people.

Racism has transcended favouritism where a particular set of people will see themselves as the lords over others. This happens even in our families and community. People from the same race are now seen fighting each other because they have overlooked the ties that bind them together. Whatever we do in life, we must not forget that there is an umbilical cord that binds us together as humans irrespective of where we come from. Don't waste time settling any seeming issues that occur between you and your neighbour. Tomorrow might be too late and just like the short story in the first paragraph, you will live in regret for not reconciling with your neighbour before death came knocking.
