What happens is that we give in to his manipulations and that is how he gets us. if you will be able to guide yourself from his manipulations which may come from friends as a piece of advice or as peer pressure, we will be able to reject these manipulative styles. You are made above animals. Just as the way you can make your dog go inside the cage by dropping a bone in the cage which will make it to run after the bone not knowing that it was just you manipulating it that is how the devil throw the bone for you to go pursue it forgetting that you are being manipulated.
Manipulation is a very strong weapon every enemy will want to wield because once he gets hold of a way to manipulate you, you are doomed. Even in our societies, we see how the government manipulates the economy by making certain policies that will either affect the economy positively or negatively but in all of these, they do it in a way that may seem to you and me that we are not being manipulated. Don’t forget that you can only be manipulated with that which you love so much. For instance, if you want to get a husband to do what you want, just get through him by using his wife and you will see how he will fall into it.
Therefore I urge you to carefully guard your heart and mind against the wicked one who is always looking for a way to get through to you and manipulate you. Finally, when next you are asked what made you do something bad, just say that you did it because the moment you take responsibility for your actions, you have accepted to make corrections for your mistakes but if you keep saying is the devil, just be ready to still go back to it again.
