Kelvin grew up to become a fine young man who has a very good looking body physique. To cut the long story short, Kelvin was the dream of every lady in his community. He is so handsome and well built that people especially ladies find it difficult to say no to his request but there was something Kelvin was seriously battling with and it may interest you to know that no one would ever believe that such a fine young man will be battling with such a thing. He has lost a couple of mouth-watering opportunities due to his inability to express himself boldly and freely.
The last stroke that broke the camel’s back was the event of last week which happened in the office of the chief of staff to the government of his state. Just like every hustling young man, Kelvin was running a business that deals with interior décor and he has been trying to get a contract in the government house because there was an announcement that the government house was going to be refurbished.
Just like every other contract bidder, he sent in his quote and when he received a call that faithful morning to come to the office of the secretary the Governor Kelvin’s highest fear caught up with him. He became so afraid that even a passerby can notice it. He fought so hard to surmount his fears but it was too late because his fears have taken a better part of him. To cut the story short, Kelvin lost the contract because he was unable to face the secretary due to the ugly demon called TIMIDITY.
You may be in this category as a man or woman who has been trying so hard to meet up in life meanwhile you are facing the greatest enemy of man without having any clue on how or what to do just to be free from it. It may interest you to know that Timidity is worst than blindness, don’t get it twisted but come to think of it, a man who is timidity is virtually blind and unable to pursue his dreams with every energy he has, unlike a blind man who even in his blindness can still be able to become the best he wants to be, take for instance the great singer and instrumentalist Steve Wonder who achieved success in the world of music even as a blind man.
Timidity comes subtly that most times makes it very difficult for one to understand that he is gradually falling into its wicked arms. At first, you may mistake it to be that you are trying to be your own or that you don’t like associating yourself with certain persons and this will go on till it gets to the level where you cannot be able to stand and talk or express yourself. Most persons got this while growing up because they were so pampered by their parents that they forget to work on their boldness. Most of these kids begin to feel inferior among their peers and this will culminate into bullying and if not tackled at that early stage, such a child will gradually fall into the abyss of timidity unknowingly. This demon has taken a lot of people to the grave without them achieving their potentials and reaching their goals in life.
It is one thing to know what to say and it is another thing to have the boldness to say it. This is also seen in the corporate office where the employer expects the employee to come up with an idea on how to move the company forward. Most times the employee may know what and how to move the company forward but because they lack the boldness to stand in the presence of every one of the board members to make their presentation, they will not come forward with their idea. Some may go to the extent of giving out their idea to another employee who will end up hijacking their idea and taken all the recommendations and accolade.
You cannot achieve your potentials if you do not work on this demon called timidity. Even the Holy Bible tells us that the spirit we are given is not of timidity but of boldness which will enable us to conquer the world and everything in it. The earlier you begin to understand that this demon must be thrown out of your life by all means the better for you. It does not end only in work-related matters. As a young man who has the intentions to marry, you must have the boldness to which will make you walk up to the lady you want to marry and profess your feelings for her. You cannot do it if you are timid because, by the time she looks at you in the eyes, you will end up forgetting the things you wanted to say just because you lack the boldness to talk.
Don’t be shy to open up to someone if you have noticed that you are battling with this demon because you need all the help you can get. Go for a counselling session if you can before the demon destroys whatever that is remain in you. Don’t claim to be ignorant of the fact that a lot of people have gone to their grave without completing their mission on earth. Be the best you can and fight so hard to win the battle against the deadly demon called TIMIDITY.
