The enemy of every man most times lives just right inside of him but the problem is the ability to know this on time. Have you acted or said something you wished you never did just immediately it came out of you? It is dangerous and unpredictable what the enemy will do if we do not bury it as soon as possible. The last I checked, this is the very challenge that has become like a virus with no known cure. All we have to do is always be several steps above it before it sinks our ship just like the Titanic.

The story of the Titanic and how it was destroyed just as she made her very first cruise took the works by surprise. It is not and was never imagined by anyone or even all passengers on this great ship. One great lesson the world should have learnt is that anything can happen irrespective of the level of carefulness put in place. But the question is; did the world learn from her past mistakes? I will leave you to be the judge of it all because I believe you know and understand what I am talking about.

Swallow it Now.

We are already seeing it happening and yet we have chosen to act ignorant about it. No matter how or what we decide to do, we must be ready to accept the fact that our inner enemy is more dangerous and powerful than the enemy out there. It sleeps and wakes up with us, moves about with us every day and even affects our decision-making ability. Why then do we not bother about the enemy within? We can't claim ignorant of this fact because it has destroyed even the strongest of men. The first step in dealing with this enemy is to identify it just on time before it becomes too late. You must understand that there are different types of enemies living within.

The question is which one of these enemies am I battling in life. We have the enemy called Pride, Greed, Wickedness and so many others like them. I decided to just point out these few because they are the most prevalent enemy of man. Let me look at the very worst of them all because it takes your glory or success just right out of your reach the moment you allow it. Have you battled the enemy called Pride?

• Pride

I am not here to talk about pride because you already know what it means but I am here to tell you about its dangers. You heard me right, the dangers of Pride is so much that if it takes over your mind you may not be able to retake it back. One of the greatest dangers is not using the word Sorry.

I believe a lot of us are familiar with this demon created by Pride. The worst thing that can happen to anyone is being unable to use the word Sorry when necessary and at the right time. This has become the destroyer of many homes and relationships in our world today.

When last did you say sorry genuinely to the one you offended without being reminded or forced to do so? It might interest you to know that some of the challenges you are facing as a man may have been averted if you had said sorry at the right time. Let's look at a scenario where you offend someone and refuse to apologise, if the person decides to involve the police since what you did is against the law, you will end up in jail but if you had genuinely apologised immediately you will see yourself a free man. The worst mistake we make is believing that we are doing the other person a favour when we apologise for our wrongdoings. This is why most of us feel so uptight to say sorry.

One beautiful thing about rendering an apology is that it lifts your soul and gives you a breath of fresh air irrespective of your crime. Your pride will swallow you if you refuse to swallow it. The time is now because you may be thinking you have more time. A little mistake of not saying sorry can cost you your life within a twinkle of an eye. I say to you again, Swallow your Pride before it swallows you. The enemy within is far more dangerous than the one out there. A word is enough for the Wise.

In all that you get in life, do not allow wisdom to be far from you because that is your only route to success and glory. I come in peace and I leave you in peace. Shalom...
