Help! Help!! Help!!!

This article is a clarion call or should I call it a distress call from me to everyone and anyone who cares about human life and its preservation. It is no news that human life is sacrosanct in every part of the world but the current situation in my country has given rise to a growing concern on the way forward about the security and preservation of human life. The level of killing and maiming that is going on in my country today has gone beyond our control as a nation but what baffles me is that the world has kept quiet to date. Is that they are waiting for it to turn into a full-blown war before the world will look into it or is it just a sign of neglect on the life of Africans? I strongly believe that if what we are experiencing has been happening to other continents of the world, the world organisation or the security council of the world would have waged in or the matter since it started but till date, no one is talking about it. Just a few weeks ago, there was a crisis between Israel and the people of Gaza in Palestine and before we could spell jack, all the foreign media ranging from CNN, BBC, FOX News and every media out there including the local ones.

How the World See Africa

With the events happening all around Africa from Mali to Chad and from Libya to Nigeria, it is as if the world government is only waiting to come into these issues whenever it has turned into a war situation. Before now, there has been an incessant killing and abduction of school children and even students of higher learning in the Northern part of Nigeria a country in the western part of Africa. What baffles me is that the government of the world is yet to make a statement about these happenings even when it threatens the life and safety of children and youths which in turn has reduced the level of development in and around the country. The pertinent question one should ask is this; why is the world government keeping quiet? I have been hearing about the security council of the world where issues the concerns the security of lives and property in the whole world is discussed without fear or favour but in the case of Nigeria, it seems like the world government do not care.

The report that was released about the number of casualties in Israel and Palestinian bombardment which ended some days ago, the record showed that not more than 300 persons including children were killed on the side of the Palestinians and not more than 30 persons were killed in the Israeli camp. Don’t misunderstand what I am about to say or do not think that I do not value the lives of the people that were killed especially those innocent children. What I want to point out is that the rate at which the world government intervened in the matter showed that they care less about Nigeria. Since we started hearing about Boko-haram during the tenure of Barack Obama till the date, we have not seen or witnessed any form of military intervention by the American government. I understand that the issue of territory and colonial master must come into play when it comes to foreign interventions but in a situation where human lives are lost daily, shouldn’t the world government make a quick move to restore peace?

What are they waiting for?

Every time I turn the television on I see news of how the world government sends emissaries in warring countries as a means to quench its fire from escalating but why have they not intervened in the case of Nigeria? Is that they are waiting for the country to go into the second phase of the civil war although I can categorically say that Nigeria has been in civil war for as long as I can remember. In a country where people are being killed daily without the government saying anything just because the people who are being killed are not of the same ethnicity, how then can you say that the civil war has ended? I do not know why the international body and the world government have become silent even as things are getting out of hand daily. Are they waiting for a full-blown war? Or is it a case of international conspiracy backed up by political interest from the high and mighty in the world?

I do not know what the answer to the above questions is but I believe that there are people who are on this platform who can help me to ask the world government this question because it may not be very long before this killing gets out of hand. For me, I will say that Nigeria is seriously boiling and it is seating on a keg of gun powder that might blow up at any time.

Help! Nigeria is already at war

I fear that a time will come when I won’t be able to write again due to the things that might happen to the country. Each passing day greets us with the news of incessant killings of youths who have committed no crime but because they were at the wrong place and at the wrong time, they became what I call victims of circumstances. Who will come to our rescue? Just yesterday, over 20 persons were killed in a state in Nigeria and as if that was not enough, that same yesterday, over 200 students were kidnapped from an Islamic school in one of the states also. This is the time for the world government to come into this matter because tomorrow may be too late and by then so many lives must have been lost. I urge those who love and respect the sanctity of human life especially those in this platform to help me by sending out this “SOS” now that we still can help. Don’t forget that war does not and can never do anyone any good. We are in the 21st century therefore we should not give room for countries to go back to the olden days from the destructions that war will cause.

Help! Help!! Help!!!

Nigeria is already at war please help!!!
