It's Getting Worse.

Just turn on your television set right there in your house and I bet you will see and hear things that will make you weep. Ok, you may doubt me but just try and walk around your vicinity, I bet you will surely see or hear one thing that will make you weep. What has gone wrong in our society? Am I hallucinating or is it just how bad things have become? Nowadays, you can't even assure yourself of a good day without any ugly news or scene popping out on the screens of your television. If not stories of war, it will be gory images of human killings here and there. No one can claim sane in our world today because our sanity has been thrown into the mud. Just take a walk and tell me what you see and hear. Before now, we had a world where children can come from their various houses and gather to play and their parents won't suffer any form of hypertension.

We had a world where a visitor can seat in your living room while you leave your drink uncovered with him/her to fetch something from the kitchen. Today, you can't leave your drink whether open or not with your friend even when your friend has no such evil intentions. The rate of poisoning from friends to unsuspecting individuals had gone so high that everyone has become a suspect overnight. Who do we blame? Ok, let's say you blame it all on me, what do you think will be the solution? I can hear someone saying that I should be jailed, stoned to death or even set ablaze. Well, if you have such a thought running in your mind each time you see a passive enemy, what differentiates you from that enemy? Even if you decide to lie to yourself, I know that you are no different from that enemy if you nurse such thoughts in your mind.

I am not here to tell you what you already know yes, you must have heard the news about the shooting in a school where children were killed. I would not bore you with the story of how a man takes up an entire country hostage just because he found himself in the seat of power as the president. No, don't think I will allow you to give me that name; Prophet of doom. I will pretend like I did not hear you say it just right now in your mind. One very certain thing is that we all are facing these evils in our various countries, communities and families. None of us is free from it. Just like the way wildfire spreads that's the exact way we all feel the pains of man's wickedness to man. You will see how we have gone from being the hunters to the hunted and no one seems to notice. Everyone is on the move to either kill or get killed just to survive.

Even for the smallest and most trivial things of life, we have seen how people lose their lives over it. You can choose to be ignorant or better still you can close your heart and mind to all that has been happening. One thing you must not forget, we are all going to enjoy whatever dish we have prepared for ourselves here on earth. As long as you are alive you should understand that you can't hide from the truth. It's all getting worse and nobody is talking. From one testing of ballistic missile to the other and before you know what is happening, news of war will begin to sip into our ears. There is nothing that saves an ugly moment other than making sure it does not start. You don't stop a fight when it has already started but you can stop a fight before it starts.

I'm done for today but before I end it, I will love to advise. Pick up your phone just now and call your friends to know how they are doing. Life is getting extremely hard, especially for those on the shores of Africa. Call them today and know how they are faring because tomorrow might be too late.
