Have you thought about a life without rules or should I say law and order? A life where everything and all things are acceptable, where there is nothing like judges or law courts and even policy offices where issues can be treated. Everyone will be free to live the kind of life they want to live not minding whose ox is gourd. Each time I think about a life without rules, one word just comes to mind is
CHAOS.
Deep Thoughts.
I was reminiscing on things that happened last year and my mind got stuck on the coronavirus case and how an entire country, state and even community was placed on a compulsory lockdown irrespective of the economic downturn. Now, let us look at the world in respect to a no rule and no law kind of society. What this meant was that there would have been serious chaos or anarchy in the world because no one would need to obey any rule. After all, there won’t be any.
What would have been the story of the world today?
Even with all the rules put in place as a means to curb the spread of the virus, a lot of people were unable to abide by those rules. So what do you think would have happened if we were living in a world without rules?
Disobedience.
Let us look at the current incident in America concerning the outcome of their election and the inability of the sitting president to accept defeat. Does it mean that if America was to be a lawless country were no rules or election guideline existed that the sitting president would freely destabilize the entire country because of his interest? Man is known to live by rules as made by nature because even the world we live in has stipulated rules which if any being goes contrary to, he/she is bound to doom.
Lawlessness
A lawless society breeds anarchy and chaos which in turn breeds stagnancy in all the spheres of its economic pursuit because nothing good strives under lawlessness. As humans, it is an onus on us to make our society a better place for it to be very inhabitable for every living thing. Take a look at the animals, once a smaller animal sees a larger one approaching, it takes to flight or tries to stay away from the path of the bigger animal. What does that tell you? It means that even animals understand and observe the rules of class and age division which most times is been violated by humans.
A Better World
We can only have a better world when we abide by the rules of life and that of the government in all levels of life. These rules were made not by man but by nature. One of these rules is that of the principle of age difference which borders around the word RESPECT.
Respect as we all know is one of the natural laws of nature which in extension is understood to be reciprocal in its form. We must allow the word respect to always come first in whatever we do in life as it will endear us to people and by so doing, it will lead us to our individual goals.
Another rule of life which most of us have in our different capacity misused or trampled upon is the word LOVE.
This word cannot be overemphasized because without the existence of love the human life is nothing and one glaring thing about love is that it controls all things meaning that humans and animals feel its impact. The pertinent issue is that we do not truly abide by this singular rule which governs everything we do as humans.
So what will our lives and our world look like if there were no rules?
The principle of life and death is one principle that everyone must try to understand because, without proper understanding, we will live our lives without making any positive impact on others and society at large. When we understand that we have only just one shot at life, we will strive so hard to spread love in all that we do since we do not know when death will come knocking.
Even in all these rules and principles which the world lives in, we still witness man’s inhumanity to man in different levels of life, therefore, this calls for a quick action to spread the message of law and order highlighting its gains and prospects for every society that lives by it. We are all called to protect and make our world a better place because life is beautiful when there are laws and orderliness. Think about it.
