Leaders Or destroyers Of Tomorrow? **In a society inhabited by ethical individuals, children are essential for the further growth and development of that society. A society like that strive to produce children, siblings or kins that will carry on its legacy to the unforseen future.** Elders, parents and community leaders tend to make all efforts in educating and training their children in other to shape them into thesame nature that their parents and everyone in the community or society grew up in. **In other words they try to impose or mold the children according to their ethics, norms and values.** ***So any child, boy or girl will literally grow up to be as ethical as is required from him by his parents, his elders and his leaders. He will grow up knowing what is right and wrong and very well mindful of what is a crime and a sin, and knowing exactly the given consequences, punishment, shame, humiliation and embarrassment that comes with being an outlaw or rebel to the stated norms.*** `A big gratitude to my sponsors who are always with me.please follow them and feel their magic.` **Some are rich some are poor, some are royalty with shiny position while some low borns.** But all may share thesame norms,values and ethics. No society will develop and prosper without these values. At least non that I know of. **However, today, life is becoming twisted and complicated, things are changing, ethics are being ignored, norms and values are being abused. And is terrifying.** Looking at how children these days are turning into something one can hardly recognize, children don't follow their parents footsteps anymore. They don't follow their societal ethics. They do what they see fit with no second thought and thought of the consequences in the future. **It is unbelievable and horrific.** The area I live in currently, there are children, young adult or teenagers who are just becoming nuisance gradually each day. They have abandoned all reason for school and just want party, club and do stuff that thugs and wreched children do. Can you imagine two secondary school, teenagers a boy (17years old) and a girl (15years old) got pregnant?? The girl no doubt will always be the one who suffers most, as she had to drop out of school to take care of herself and the baby. **Because of the burden she and the boy put on themselve. How disappointing and disgusting.** Teenagers today between the age of 14 above are already smoking weed and other harmful substances. What is worse is some are into keeping bad companies, joining cult and other bad organizations for fun or other groundless reasons. Few are trying to join a legal business or go into some legal entertainment activities to earn some income, some still try to be in school. **But majority are busy trying so hard to be called "Hard guy" as they love to claim. How pathetic.** The girls are no different, although not as spoilt as the boys but they are not bringing much positive image to the society. They hang around boys and rich uncle's otherwise called sugar daddies, they get spoiled and then discarded. **We keep hoping that these children of tomorrow will grow one day and fix our nation, carry on our ancestors legacy and make us proud. Develop our country and wipe our tears but I fear for the uncertainty of that future.** *I fear that these so called children of today leaders of tomorrow are not really sure of themselves if they want to be leaders of tomorrow, or if they even have what it takes to stand for us and for this country. I fear they are not that ambitious as expected. How sad.* **So are they really "children of today leaders of tomorrow" or just children's of today destroyers of today and tomorrow??** ****Conclusion**** I hope children of today will realize what's in front of them and clear their head and stand on the right path to greatness. A path for a brighter future for us and our children to come and our country. I hope they become the guardians of tomorrow, the safekeepers of tomorrow, the architects of tomorrow and the developers of tomorrow. May God bless our children, Amen.
