Sluggishness vs Laziness? What's the Difference?

Ah yes, that feeling when you don't have the energy to get off the bed, or don't even have the energy to get your ass off on where you're sitting. Although the term can be quite related to the word 'laziness', it is still quite different, in a sense.

Sluggishness is more of a natural and physical response by your body when it feels tired and doesn't have the energy to do so. This may be caused by different factors including the lack of sleep, lack of necessary intakes such as food and water, and if practiced long enough, can be a byproduct of laziness. The word 'sluggishness' can be synonymus with 'lethargic', but the latter is often used in medical contexts than in everyday conversations.

Laziness on the other hand, is more of a personal choice than a natural response by the body. It's like, somebody gives you a task that you need to do, but you don't want to do and say "Fuck it" because you're lazy. Although this may be governed by other factors such as inherently disliking an object or concept, that deserves to be discussed in another topic.

People may say that both of these are quite detrimental when somebody does it, but they're not entirely right. People sometimes need to rest, and need to enjoy their privacy just for a little while. It's okay to be sluggish and lazy sometimes, but do not practice it to the point where it becomes a habit.
