Getting Bitcoin on the Tron blockchain is very easy. I guess the first question you may have is why use Bitcoin on the Tron blockchain when it has its own blockchain? Well the Bitcoin blockchain is very slow and at times expensive. Transactions take 10 minutes to confirm and the transaction fees can cost $1.00 to $10.00 or more. Currently the transaction fees are approximately $7.00, where as the Tron blockchain has instant transactions and transaction fees less than $0.01
Now with that out of the way we can concentrate on how to get and how to use Bitcoin on the Tron blockchain. I recommend using either the TronLink wallet or the Klever wallet, both are great.
First I’ll concentrate on using TronLink. Make sure you have some Tron in your wallet. Head over to justswap.org Tron should be populated in the top token choice, down the page it should say select a token, then choose Bitcoin. What’s happening is you’re swapping TRX (Tron) for Wrapped Bitcoin through a smart contract. The smart contract has been completely certified and audited so there’s no risk of a third party taking your BTC. Since the swap process is so fast and cost efficient I suggest not using Wrapped Bitcoin as an investment, rather use it for spending or earning interest.
Sending Wrapped Bitcoin is just like sending TRX, fast, instant and less than $0.01 in transaction fees, it’s a perfect way to spend Bitcoin. Another great way of using Wrapped Bitcoin is lending it through smart contracts and earning interest. Another simple and smooth process, head over to JustLend.org the website will recognize and read your wallet balance of Wrapped Bitcoin. Simply choose Bitcoin to “supply” it will let you know the annual percentage rate that you’ll earn. Choose the amount of Wrapped Bitcoin you want to lend and follow the instructions. What’s happening is your lending the Bitcoin through a smart contract to someone that wants to borrow against their Bitcoin. There’s no risk of not being paid back, no third party risk and you can withdraw your Bitcoin anytime you wish. It’s a great way of making your money work for you.
Using the Klever wallet works the same way except at the moment it is not getting a price feed from the Poloniex exchange on the Wrapped Bitcoin so you can’t see the value, only the amount of Bitcoin you have, but it’s still great for lending out. Klever has its own Wrapped Bitcoin which has the symbol KBTC, it has a price feed and is awesome for sending to others. KBTC can’t be lent out through JustLend and to acquire it you simply use the built in swap tool within the Klever wallet.
This technology opens a brand new world to Bitcoin and Bitcoin transactions as well as what you can do with Bitcoin. Tron is bringing the blockchain technology to new heights.
Oh, and by they way you can do the exact same thing with Ethereum on the Tron blockchain. Again much faster and cheaper than using Ethereum on the Ethereum blockchain.
