Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash & Bitcoin SV How It All Plays Out

If you don’t know, there are 3 Bitcoin (actually more but they aren’t worth discussing) the one most people recognize as the original, Bitcoin (BTC), the first fork of Bitcoin called Bitcoin Cash (BCH), and a fork of the fork called Bitcoin SV (BSV).

I don’t want to go into the reasons why there’s 3 and the specifics, I want this article to be about how I see these 3 playing out over the next two decades within the blockchain space.

Let’s first look at BTC. As mentioned it’s the one everyone considers the original, unfortunately I believe, as do many others, that BTC has been hijacked by a group of selfish people. They’ve basically want to keep its technology down so they can capitalize on different technologies built around its original structure while creating a narrative that BTC is digital gold.

This narrative couldn’t be further than Satoshi’s original vision but it is what it is, it is what it’s become, digital gold. And the large institutional money has bought into this narrative.

i believe the next couple of decades will see BTC remain as digital gold, that it’s block size will remain small and its transactions slow. It’s blockchain will be viewed as precious space and it’s relatively high fees will be justified by the users.

The people who have hijacked BTC have released a second layer solution called the Lightning Network which enables near instant transactions with minimal fees. Lightning will evolve and will improve, no doubt, but there will always be the mass majority of Crypto users who want their transactions to be on-chain and not on a second layer.

Which leads us to BCH. Bitcoin Cash lies between BTC & BSV, it’s got a much larger block size than BTC, near instant transactions and fees far less than $0.01. It’s been able to remain relatively decentralized while giving people what they want, fast transaction and low fees.

From a marketing standpoint they’ve nailed it. The color scheme is green and they’ve leveraged the word cash. Everything they’ve done plays into a persons psyche. It says to the average person use me just as you use cash, debit or credit card. It’s perfect for your everyday purchases, doing to dinner, drinks, your shopping, groceries, etc. It’s easily sent and received just like cash, perfect for everyday needs.

Everything BCH can do BSV can do but I believe it’s ultimately going to be used as a behind the scenes blockchain. It’s already got unlimited block sizes, near instant transactions and fees below $0.01.

The people behind BSV seem to be concentrating on the enterprise space, and it’s been built to be perfect for machine to machine payments and data collection.

Today machines produce more data than humans, the first time that has happened in the history of mankind. Some prime examples are the following. Your car will talk to the tollbooth and automatically pay in BSV, getting gas it will talk to the pump, charging your electric car it will automatically pay for the electric. You’ll be able to setup recurring payments for your utilities, playing games or gambling on your computer will easily be transacted, the possibilities are endless.

There may even come a day in the not too distant future that you’ll be able to hold and use not just BSV on its blockchain but also BTC & BCH. Technology is always developing and morphing, who knows what we’ll see over the next 20 years. But I can see great use case scenarios for all three Bitcoin. They are here to stay for sure!

Feel free to read how and why you should be using all these Bitcoin from a business owner as well as a consumer standpoint on our blog, https://damxchange.blogspot.com/2020/10/bitcoin-is-money.html and https://damxchange.blogspot.com/2020/10/bitcoin-cash-is-money.html as well as https://damxchange.blogspot.com/2020/06/bitcoin-sv-is-money.html

Thank you and happy reading.

Well composed article. Stuff is, in no time now, BTC fees will be more than bearable for the ordinary holder to perform transactions. That time, BCH will have her time when more people learn of a network that produced a faster transaction with a extremely lesser fee. BSV, I don't know much about. But I'll do my findings. If it has the same features as BCH, then I see a brighter future for it too.

I'm kinda new to the crypto scene (well, I played around with it back in 2017 but didn't go too deep into it), are BSV and Lightning Network the same thing? I thought they weren't but the article sorta implies it...?

No they are not. BSV is a fork of BCH, LN is a second layer solution for BTC as stated in the article.

The article never really talks about what BSV is, that's why I'm confused. What are the technical differences between BCH and BSV?

Segwit and blocksize are the main differences.

As I stated in the beginning of the article it wasn’t being written to talk about the technical differences rather how we see it playing out.
