Love is the greatest among the three commandments God gave to us. It was written that the first and most important commandment given to us by Christ is to love one another as ourselves. It's therefore a necessity for is because God first loves us before charging us to love one another. The Bible also told us that love covers a multitude of sins. Love is a character required of us to everyone around us to exhibit. Christ die for all and is also expected of us to love one another as Christ loved us.
Many Christians don't profess true love to others even when God tell us to love our enemies, those that even plan evil against us. Performing all sorts of miracles and wonders without having love as a virtue is all in vain.
The Bible explained the vastness of love in many terms. We can't please God if we don't love him and loving God implies having compassion towards the needy, towards your enemies. Love is the greatest!
What about Faith, Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, conviction of things not seen. To be sincere, you can't please God if you don't have faith. You may be surprised that some people of the old testament who have good records with God were commended by their faith despite that there hasn't been indwelt of the spirit during the olden days. We are in a more comforting generation because we have his spirit to teach us and direct is whereby it is not so in the old testament. The Holy spirit only come to do a specific task among men during the old testament. We have the case of when holy spirit came upon Samson that he killed a lion and many people. You will agree that the Holy spirit always come for specific task and after that will depart to heaven again.
Yet Faith was the thing God used to judge them. Without Faith, you can't please God because whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that rewards those that seek him. Now you should know that Faith is important in a christian life. Christians ought to pray for faith increment. Jesus said to his disciples that with faith they can many extraordinary things.
Lastly hope is also one of the things a Christian need to possess as a virtue. We all need hope to make heaven as christians, we must always be hopeful on God. It should be noted that without Faith as your engine or fuel, you can't possibly be able to hope for good things from God. Hope will help us to stand firm till the rapture day when Christ comes. Hope along with your faith will help you face life problems and help you to stand fully firm in God.
Don't allow any circumstances to discourage you from walking with your God. Your hope in God will keep you till the rapture day when your hope will be crowned with the crown of glory.
These three virtues are all needed in a christian's life. You can't possibly have two and abandon one, you have to possess all of the three and be perfect in Christ. Don't be a hateful or vengeful Christian who doesn't like others. Likewise you must be full of faith like Christ and always build your hope in Christ.
