Six-tool team, a team who can do everything well— throw, run, field, hit for average, power and accept Bitcoin in the club!
Perth Heat, a famous Australian Baseball League club, marked history as the ‘first professional sport team in the world to pay players and staff in Bitcoin’. The team has added a new flavour of heat after fully deciding to go all in on a Bitcoin standard. It is also intended that the Bitcoin mode of payment for players and staff are not mandatory. However, CEO Steven Nelkovski told Guardian Australia that all current employees of the club seem to be hyped up by the newest scheme.
This is a one-step closer to crypto progression in the sport industry. Despite the eagerness to see crypto in each person, the players and staff indicated on the payroll have the freedom to choose between traditional payment, Bitcoin and even partially in bitcoin and traditional dollars.
In addition, for businesses and negotiations who wish to be promoted by the team, Heat club is open for bitcoin payments for sponsorships, merchandise and ballpark concessions on game days. No field is being left behind in crypto, whether it may be in the entertainment, business and even sport industry. What are the odds that an industry may hinder their respective fields from progressing through crypto?
I honestly do not see any reason to stop people from embracing these digital tokens. Afterall, it is important to give people an option to freely choose between items, which the Perth Heat club offered to its employees. Kudos, and looking forward to seeing more good news like this!
