Connect With Other Ape Enthusiasts Through Yuga Labs' New BAYC Community Council
Over the past few years, the cryptocurrency world has grown massively. And one area that has sprung out from it and is currently making grounds are Non-fungible token or NFTs, for short. Non-fungible tokens are gaining lots of ground in the art world also, and they are not just something for the rich alone -- they are also making people discover an economic opportunity.
Today, I'm going to highlight one of the largest web3 companies that is aiming to be more committed to providing the best experience for its community.
Yuga Labs, creators of the Bored Ape Yacht Club non-fungible token (NFT) collection, has announced a new Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) community council to help the project “grow and thrive.” The team revealed seven council members in a Wednesday blog post.
The council includes seven members - Josh Ong, Sera, Laura Rod, 0xEthan, 0xWave, Negi, and Peter Fang - Yuga Labs claimed to have put together a new community council made up of "Apes with a demonstrated track record of proactively and positively contributing to the club since the outset.”
Yuga Labs Establishes Council to Serve as Representative of Club and Forum for Fresh Viewpoints
The council's main duty will be to support Web3 activities within the Bored Ape community. Yuga lists some potential use cases for the council to support as being commercial items, gatherings, and philanthropic activities. Yuga labs also stated that the council was established to serve as a representative of the club overall and a forum for fresh viewpoints.
Furthermore, Yuga assured the Bored Ape community that it will continue to convene NFT councils to support the expansion of its hierarchy of brands. They will also continue exploring the growing demands of their other Yuga NFT communities, such as CryptoPunks, Meebits, and Otherside.
I'm fairly confident that Yuga Labs' desire to influence future initiatives will certainly be achieved given the potential to develop such an idea.
