Bitcoin scam on YouTube - The big lie of giveaways

What is currently happening on YouTube cannot be beaten in audacity. We are talking about the big Bitcoin scams and the associated lies of the giveaways. However, the problem doesn't just concern Bitcoin - Ethereum, Ripple or other cryptocurrencies are regularly misused for the purposes of scammers. What exactly is behind the Bitcoin scams and the supposed giveaways?

Some readers may know the following situation: you open YouTube and are logged in with your existing account. Since YouTube knows our search behavior very well, it also knows what we like and which videos we like to watch.

So I had to be amazed a few days ago when a supposed live stream with the title "Binance CEO Does Bitcoin Giveaway" was proposed. An impressive 2000 live viewers were on the channel, which was 'obviously' assigned to Binance. Since I am not necessarily blind, despite glasses, I of course quickly knew that someone was trying to cash in properly with this title.

My guess turned out to be correct; one saw in the video description the statement that Binance is carrying out a major giveaway campaign. All you have to do is transfer Bitcoin to the address below (which was also shown as a QR code in the video) and Binance would then receive a multiple of the deposit. The more money you deposit, of course, the more you would get back.

Ethereum, Ripple and many other cryptocurrencies

Unfortunately, the scenario just mentioned cannot only be limited to Bitcoin. So the game is currently pulled through with many cryptocurrencies à la ETH and XRP. Then there is talk of 'Talks with Ethereum CEO Vitalik Buterin on Ethereum 2.0' or giveaways from 'Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse'.

Our community has also recently received a note on this. In the following you will not see a Bitcoin scam, but the 'Ethereum Giveaway' just described.

These scams are a plague. It ruins trust in the cryptocurrencies. People fall for it, and then they never touch a cryptocurrency again.
