Expectations

My friends we are waiting for so many things. We are expecting some certain thing to happen, we are waiting for our childrens progress and growth, we are waiting for a better job, we are waiting for our marriage to be happen, we are waiting for the right time to have our dream vacation, we are waiting to get a better car and house, we are waiting for our business to go up and up and up. But what I want to give you is a lesson on "Expectation".

But first let's see what the bible has to say on this matter: Matthew 7:7-8 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. The bible say's that if we ask anything in God's name He will give us. Now, this is not a promise that God will always give us what we want but He will always give us what we need. This is what we call an "answer of prayer".

There are so many things we are expecting in life. We wait long to have God's will done in our lives. Even till now, we are still expecting the future.

The truth is, we take our expectation so seriously until we get frustrated and emotionally down if they don't happen. I am not saying that you shouldn't expect anything because that is the way to be hopeful, but don't expect to always be hopeful. Expectation is one of those words that has two meanings. One meaning is: HOPE, and the other is: DESTINY or something that shall surely happen.

Everybody is expecting so many things in life. We are all expecting something. What are you expecting? Every person has a part in his life waiting for something to happen. Lots of people are waiting for the future to come. There are some people who are waiting for their dreams to come true. There are some people who are expecting a child to come. Some people are expecting a promotion. Some people are waiting for someone to love them back. Some people have expectations from their partner-expecting them to always come home on time, stay with them and be faithful and loyal.

There are so many things we are expecting in life. The main thing is the future. Whether its tomorrow, this week, next month or even next year, we're all waiting for something.

The world is full of hope and faith that something good will happen in the future. The main purpose of hope and faith is to see God's will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Today we are expecting so many things in our earthly life. We are all expecting a lot of things, but sometimes, those things we are expecting are not happening the way we wanted it to be. Those expectations may have come from the negative thoughts of other people or our own negative thoughts will build up that expectation. We need to always remember that whatever we are expecting, whatever we had thought and picture to be happening in our lives ,let us always be positive because what God has promised is already written in our destiny.

"But as for me, I will hope continually, and will praise thee more and more." (Psalm 42:5)

Whatever we are hoping in our lives, let us always put God first because whatever it is that we are waiting for, let us know that God is able to do it for us even better than we had expected for ourselves.

What we can do is to trust in God always, he should help us through as we expect the things we hope for. This is where the action called faith comes in. Faith puts us in action to receive what we expect from the future. Without faith our expectations can be cut off or cut. Faith makes it help, not faith in words but faith in deeds.
