I was planning to be a bit more active in uploading, but work has gotten the better of me and it's been a bit of a distraction from being able to keep up on my posts, but I am still going at it. For the Read.Cash crowd I have now gotten to compiling my next compilation of my One Piece Reviews posted on the Hive Blockchain, with a bit of added commentary for my thoughts on them now that some time has passed.
Arlong Park: https://peakd.com/hive-166847/@dlstudios/one-piece-arlong-park-arc-episodes-31-44
While Is till enjoyed Baratai more, Arlong Park is where One Piece really showed how fantastic it's fights could get. We really get to see Luffy struggle here, and Arlong himself is an extremely imposing figure. This is likely the moment people started to realize that this show was going to be an all time classic.
Loguetown: https://peakd.com/hive-149863/@dlstudios/one-piece-loguetown-arc-45-48-55-review
In contrast this is where the show starts to show it's cracks, and you can see why people may have a hard time getting into One Piece. So much of the plot is moved forward by dumb luck and happenstance it becomes hard to ignore. This is a trend that continues throughout the show.
Reverse Mountain: https://peakd.com/hive-149863/@dlstudios/one-piece-reverse-mountain-arc-half-of-61-62-63-review
Nothing to add to my review at all really. It was a fun and short arc that did well to establish what to expect in the Grand Line.
Whiskey Peak: https://peakd.com/hive-149863/@dlstudios/one-piece-whiskey-peak-arc-64-67-review
This arc just wasn't very good. It's the first time the show just had a bad arc. It's not nearly bad enough to take away from the show overall, but between this and Loguetown it becomes apparent that you are not going to be in for the most consistant show in terms of quality from arc to arc. Mind you I am currently 130+ episodes in, and I still really like it.
Little Garden: https://peakd.com/hive-149863/@dlstudios/one-piece-little-garden-arc-70-77-review
This arc is really close with Baratie as my favorite so far. You learn so much about Luffy and Zoro's outlook on the world, some incredible action to be had, and Sanji get's his own little moments to shine. And any time I get to see Sanji be awesome makes me happy, as he's my favorite character to date.
My next post or two should be collections of my Disney Reviews, so hope many of you hang around for those! (I am reviewing the animated feature films in Chronological order)
