I accidentally permanently deleted some important folders on an SSD. The scan of a recovery software has been running for 5 hours now and so far about 1/5 is done. This is going to be a long process. Wish me luck!

I wish you luck... and I can imagine which kind of hell you are experiencing 😞
Thank you. Yes, it's not fine at the moment, scan will last another 2 days.
🤞💪
Oh, soooo been there. Mostly for customers.
Nothing is more frustrating than losing important documents. Let's hoping everything works out. It will, I am confident.
Oh damn. sorry to hear that. What's the results now? been 3 hours since your post
Oh, I know how painful this is from my experience, so I wish you good luck! By the way, with one of the latest SanDisk memory cards I bought, I got a license for this recovery software, it works like a magic, I'm recommending it ;)
It's a pretty long and hectic process I remember when my brother accidentally formatted the hard drive took me 5 days to recover and search which files I wanted 😣
On proper HDD you could still read data writen on the fringe of the track, SSD on the other hand ... if overwritten - lost.
That's why it was more difficult because that hdd drive was used by me for an eternity and I had stored restored alot of data on it 🤣
I ment it a bit differently. On old HDDs the head positions deteriorated with time and actually more than one piece of data could be written if you simulated differrent head movements and drive speeds. You could to some extent read the history of tracks. But that's another story altogether.
Never tried that apparently
Apparently
Wishing you luck mate. This sounds terrible. I hope no passphrases suffered. 😜❤️🖖
So, the progress? Any luck?
