It's Thursday and time again for new #free #PC #games. Today Epic Games is giving away two games that both look very promising. - Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition Experience the final chapter of Lara's Origin story in Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, where her destiny is fulfilled and she gets to become the Tomb Raider. Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition includes the base game, all seven DLC challenge tombs and all downloadable weapons,…

A short shore leave in Rheinsberg, an unusual number of people and some culture. The castle and the castle park are worth a look and only about 5 minutes from the harbour. From well-kept architecture to enchanted corners in the landscape park all around. These impressions naturally make you hungry, so we looked for a small Italian restaurant that offers surprisingly good food at equally surprisingly high prices. But that's what I call a Pizza! On the way back to the harbour,…
Wooden art near the Rheinsberg harbour. I'm not quite sure what the artist is trying to tell us, but maybe that doesn't matter.
We are already on the way back on our tour. The heron visits us every now and then and the pirate flag waves in the wind. Unfortunately, the second flag broke during a clumsy parking manoeuvre. Shit happens. Two hours of waiting at the lock - you're glad to be alone on the water again afterwards.
The last day of the holiday was a little... different. A huge wall of thunderstorms suddenly rolled towards us. We were in the middle of the lake and it got darker and darker. Thunder and lightning everywhere and only one anchorage nearby. So let's go! Once there, the friendly greeting of the Grafiti on the tree. You can feel more comfortable than in this place. But at least it was a safe place during the storm. Even the ducks found it too wet in the water and wanted to come…
I admit that I have been less active than usual here lately. But does that mean you have to put a poster in front of my door to encourage me to make noise? In any case, it has served its purpose.
The sun is now so low that the spider webs are more noticeable again in the backlight. I found a particularly large one (by Central European standards) in the backyard. And in this light, the spiders are less repulsive. But I still wouldn't like to pet them. Sorry about the last picture, just a little horror trip...
It's kind of strange. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. But Alien Worlds hasn't had anything like this in a long time. Today it's worth swinging the tools...
Sometimes it's the little things that make me smile. This lighter had been missing since my holiday and I looked everywhere. I just discovered it in the washing machine. I'm glad, even if it's just a small, unimportant lighter. I don't like to lose things...
Okay, that was unexpected. But so it was back then at Christmas. I'm glad to be back from the beginning and to see a lot of familiar faces. Noise on! For testing purposes, here is my first picture on noise.cash
If everyone is talking about the new noise.app, then I'll do the same. The innovations look promising and the new rules make spam more difficult. That's why I don't want to publicly post an invitation link here. Two have already been sent out privately, others maybe later. The app feels light and fast, but still has some small problems, which is also communicated. Registration is easy and everything new gets explained well. At first glance, it seems to be a very good…
Now, with all the excitement about the new app, I forgot about the new #free #PC #game. Epic is giving you a gift from today: - Hundred Days - Winemaking Simulator For friends of farming simulations, this is certainly a useful game. The makers of the game are apparently all from the wine industry, so there should be no lack of realism. "Winemaking could be your greatest adventure. Make the best wine by interacting with the soil and nature, and take your winery to the top.…
To be honest, I'm a bit overwhelmed with 2x noise right now. Should I post everything twice, just on the old site or just on the new one? I'm going to let it sink in over the weekend and see how it develops. Until then, it might be a bit quieter from my side. But I'd still like to find out which image format works well here and doesn't look blurry in the new preview. So here's an attempt with my "standard noise cross-format". The picture is from last year, autumn is not…
Don't worry, I'm still here. I'm just trying to figure out which noise I like better. So far I haven't found an answer.
As good as the new site is, the German translation is poor. Example: someone has 0 hearts (translation: 0 mag = 0 like) I click on the heart, then it says 1 wie = 1 how Hard to translate where the error lies here. But I suggest to let native speakers do the translations, not algorithms. If there is interest, I am available for the German translation, @simon ... Oh, and it would be nice to enter a Screenshot by ctrl+v without saving every screenshot as a file and upload it…
The new translation feature in noise.app is a great idea. But as it is with languages, they have their pitfalls. The German language is no exception and some parts are, shall we say, poorly translated. However, since only native speakers notice this, I have offered to do the German translation. Let's see if @simon is interested. I would be happy to do my part. You can see an example of the poor translation in my latest noise on noise.app/Cryptozeug/xgkg4n4p
The station on a Friday afternoon. When you see the pictures, you don't think you're in a "big city" here. While waiting for the train, I felt like I was in the best Lockdown times. Absolute silence at a station at the beginning of the weekend. Creepy and fascinating at the same time. The pictures are perhaps a bit over-processed but that's what I like at the moment. It can be different again tomorrow, don't worry!
Let's see if this works. I'm copying here the reflink to my own new post from the adult noise and hoping for a preview how the competitors offer it. But maybe I'm not hoping for it either. Maybe I'm even happy if a link has to be described to generate curiosity. In any case, I'm curious to see what's behind the 80% here that we don't see yet. https://noise.cash/post/z8jv02rtxk90
1000 Starbits and a pizza for 1000 missions, artists getting rich with Rising Star... Almost like in real life.
An unmistakable sign that autumn is beginning. Behind the office, the ivy is starting to bloom and, as every year, it provides the perfect bee pasture. Hundreds of bees are on their way to refuel before winter. It's a bit exciting to take photos in the middle of this swarm, but since I'm not made of ivy, they let me be. I look forward to these few weeks all year and am always glad when the bees are back.
I am always amazed at the ingenuity of nature. Here, for example, a spider builds its web using a small berry as a foundation. Threads run off in all directions, not very symmetrical but still functional. Great little disgusting builders. More brilliant nature in the form of bees can be found on the adult noise. https://noise.cash/post/59w2676c3mj9
Really sucks to help good friends from the house carry the last things downstairs and then say goodbye. Everything gets a little greyer. No worries, nobody died, they just change the residence. I hope the new residents are real humans, too.
I love well-made and fast error pages. I just searched for a (not yet registered) user here using the URL (noise.app/username) and got this message after less than half a second: "We searched for a really long time, but still couldn't find it. We're sorry!" "Wir haben wirklich lange gesucht, konnten es aber immer noch nicht finden. Es tut uns leid!" That made me smile. A truly successful translation this time. 🤩
New Cointiply promo code: LOGICALLY
Look who's coming around the corner! Another bee, of course, I can't help it when they're around. But they are just too fast to get a REALLY sharp picture.
It's #free #PC #game Thursday and today Epic Games is giving away something again. This time two games, of which at least the first has a very good reputation. But also the second one looks quite funny. - Spirit of the North Spirit of the North is a single-player 3rd-person adventure game inspired by the breathtaking and mysterious landscapes of Iceland. Play as an ordinary red fox whose story becomes entwined with the guardian of the Northern Lights, a female spirit fox.…
Backup time! No backup, no pity! This is your irregular reminder to back up your data. I'm doing this right now and have 15-20 hours left.... Usually it's done in half an hour. I'm not saying that Acronis should do something about its routines, but I'm worried about the hardware. If you have good experiences with free backup and restore software, I would be happy to receive a recommendation.
It's nice to see how nature is reclaiming areas. The used car dealership on the old station site doesn't seem to be very popular, but the plants like it. I'm curious to see when the car will have completely disappeared.
A few more finds from our walk today. Glued street art, easy to remove and does not "damage" the buildings.
It's a scandal that I haven't written anything here for three days, but I'm still having some difficulty with the noise balancing act. But I'm glad that the suggestions for translation are being heard and are already being implemented. It brings back the good old noise feeling.
Today we were able to experience a falconer's demonstration - a birds of prey show. The first majestic bird is the largest prey-grabbing bird in the world (there are larger scavengers), the Kamchatka giant sea eagle with a wingspan of 2.40m. An impressive animal. The white-headed sea eagle immediately seized the opportunity for a flight of flight, or let's call it a sightseeing flight. A few minutes later it was suddenly perched on the fence. Surrounded by stupid people who…
Scary? Don't worry, the wolf is not as lively as it looks. One of our finds at the forest festival today. Of course, mushrooms are not to be missed, it's autumn and we were in the forest... And if you want to see more impressive eagles, I recommend https://noise.cash/post/009nwgnb087j. A really nice day for father and son.
Train station, street art, gaming, wolf, eagle, mushrooms, unusual number of people, tram chaos, mediocre cooking, motorway without traffic jams. Fast forward through a rather extraordinary weekend that, as always, ends far too quickly. I'm not sure if I'm recovered or exhausted. But the Eagle was definitely the highlight. I wish you a good start to the week, especially to the colleagues who are "allowed" to start again tomorrow.
I think by now word has spread that we can set addresses for tips here in our profile settings. That's what I did, of course. The only thing I don't like is Paypal, too much KYC. I want to keep it crypto.
Just got this spam mail from the sender "winner" and they forgot the spam! I have a right to my spam! They really get dumber and dumber. 😖
Now I'm excited, got a Monkeypack. And as always, the question: open, sell, keep? I guess I will decide it tomorrow.
It's #free #PC #game Thursday again and once again Epic is giving you two games for free. The first one was already available a while ago and I didn't have much fun with it, to be honest. The second one looks too stressful for me personally, but certainly has a lot of dark humour. Nevertheless, I don't want to deprive you of both of them. - ARK: Survival Evolved "You are stranded on the shores of a mysterious island and must learn to survive. Skillfully line up to kill or…
The sunrise today was... special. At first it looked quite "normal", then 5 minutes later this sight. Great, that's how a day can start. The fog got even thicker, on the way to work we could hardly see the road. It's getting autumn!
Another weekend with almost no noise from me. That's because of real life. I'm leaving town today to meet up with good old friends again after many years this evening. And I'm sure it will be just like it used to be. Looking forward to it.
Sorry, I don't feel like communicating right now. A good friend is in hospital with a serious problem and I am very worried. Maybe more than he worries himself. "I'll get over it..." If you believe in energy transfers or prayers, which I don't, send him some!
Every now and then I read a post here about donations and where they come from. In fact, I also wonder about the relatively constant small transactions from quite a small number of senders. I wouldn't say I've been particularly active here lately either, which would justify the donations. In any case, I have my suspicions about how this happens, but of course I'm not sure. One thing would interest me, though: Is there anyone here who has registered their BCH address but has…
Meanwhile, the weather here is so disgusting that even Fat Berta, who likes to visit us, doesn't care that she's not allowed to come in at work. And somehow it almost seems as if someone has prepared a place for her in the dry. And if that doesn't work out, she still has some shelter from the rain under the glass roof. Anyway, she calms the nerves and sometimes her presence is the best thing on a grey and sad day.
Another week has passed and once again Epic Games gives you 2 #free #PC #games. Both are again very fast and very chaotic but I think I'll at least get a closer look at the first one. - The Drone Racing League Simulator "The DRL Simulator is the leading experience in FPV racing games and simulators. The DRL Sim offers a comprehensive and constantly evolving range of features, including extremely exciting drone racing. It includes race tracks where the real DRL pilots fly,…
On the "hunt" for bees, the butterfly came into my lens, sitting calmly in the midst of the bees. If you look very closely, you can also see at least two bees in the first picture. The ivy is really a good place for them in autumn.
