@Cryptozeug

Good morning noisers and welcome to August, my holiday month. I still have 4 days of work ahead of me and after that it's time for real life. There will also be some days without internet connection for me, so please don't be surprised if it's a bit quiet here from time to time. Freedom at last!

@Cryptozeug

The next heat wave is rolling towards us and we expect 37°C again in the next few days. Even Fat Berta is getting too much and is already looking for the shadow. Today another cat came by and stole Berta's food. Of course she got slap in the face right away. The two will probably not become friends any more.

@Cryptozeug

Please do not try this at home! Really! My bluetooth speaker keeps having problems connecting to the laptop. Or rather, it connects without any problems but the sound continues to come out of the laptop speakers. After I tried to listen to my music through it again today without success, I banged the speaker hard against the edge of the table. (You know, I'm sometimes grumpy). And what can I say? It's been working again since that very moment! I hope the condition lasts for…

@Cryptozeug

Thursday at last! The last working day of the week and the day for a new #free #PC #game at Epic Games. Today it's free for you: - Unrailed! (2020) Unrailed! is a chaotic online and couch co-op multiplayer track-building game where you build a train track with your friends through endless, procedurally generated worlds. Survive encounters with their inhabitants, upgrade your train and prevent it from derailing! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0J6S4xotq0E Again, one of those…

This is what a SARS-CoV-2 antibody test looks like. I did it again yesterday out of interest. Although there are no concrete figures on how to interpret the values, my value is considerably higher 9 months after the third vaccination than before the third. I'm not looking forward to an unavoidable infection, but I'm quite relaxed about its course with my result.

@Cryptozeug

Ok, so I can no longer sign up with Brave Rewards at Uphold, that much was clear a few weeks ago. And yet yesterday I received 25 #BAT from Brave Software International into my Uphold account, two days before the actual payment of the rewards. They are still showing as unpaid. It's all very strange what's going on. But what the hell, I've never complained about free money before.

@Cryptozeug

Two days ago I showed you how to brute force-fix a Bluetooth Speaker that has connection problems with a Windows11 laptop. Today, it turns out that sometimes force is not necessary. The speaker did not want to play music again. So I switched the airplane mode on and off again and look, the speaker works. Conclusion: Both methods work, the current one is probably better for the budget in some cases, the first one is better for reducing anger.

@Cryptozeug

I enjoy the silence of the night. No noise from construction sites, hardly any traffic and only a few drunks on the road. The windows are open and cool air flows through the place. Sunday is the best day to build a website, at least if the next week is holidays. What website? Business secret!

@Cryptozeug

Remember the #seedbombs my son gave me? The plants have grown well, but I have too many in one pot. Nevertheless, the first flowers have started to appear. It's really a beautiful, sustainable gift.

@Cryptozeug

I don't like helicopter parents who are constantly hovering around their child. But nevertheless, with the help of technology, I am glad to know in which part of Europe my son is at the moment. And somehow it feels like I'm taking a little flight myself. Exciting. Have a good flight!

@Cryptozeug

Every now and then my cactus tends to rot or dry out at the top. Then I always have to cut off a piece and hope that it will sprout again. The cut looks very tasty and I would love to try a piece. I'm just not sure which worlds it will take me to and whether I have the time. Are there any cactus connoisseurs here? Is this a San Pedro?

@Cryptozeug

The time of high-quality freebies at Epic Games seems to be over for the time being. Anyway, today (in 2 hours) there's another #free #PC #game that I can't do much with. But maybe there is someone among you who is interested. - Cook, Serve, Delicious! 3?! "Travel across the United States with your trusty robot sidekicks Whisk and Clever to compete in the Iron Cook Foodtruck Championships in this massive sequel to the multi-million selling Cook, Serve, Delicious!" series.…

@Cryptozeug

Don't worry, I'm still around. I'm just enjoying my holiday and don't have much time to hang around here. Another two weeks of emergency, then everything will be back to normal...

@Cryptozeug

Nice, firefaucet is broken... Negative AC points. 🤪

@Cryptozeug

I have just seen two shooting stars! And now I have two free wishes. But of course I can't tell you what I'm wishing for, otherwise it won't come true. I didn't manage to take a photo of the shooting stars, no one takes photos that quickly. So the moon will have to suffice.

@Cryptozeug

Rain at last! And of the heavy kind. Thunder, darkness in the middle of the day, heavy wind and then it started. The soil desperately needs the rain and so we were all happy today. The first picture gives an impression of the situation, the second is my attempt to freeze the moment and show single drops.

@Cryptozeug

Greetings from the apple tree. About 50 sparrows live in this tree but you rarely see them and only hear them. This little guy watched me for a while today and obviously wanted to be photographed. Of course I am happy to do him this favour.

@Cryptozeug

Probably my last noise... for the next 8 days. Holiday, offline time, you know. Today it's retro. Epic Games gives you a new old #free #PC #game. - DOOM 64 DOOM 64, an action-packed first-person shooter and direct successor to DOOM II, was originally released on the Nintendo 64 in 1997. To celebrate DOOM's 25th anniversary, an Enhanced Edition of DOOM 64 was released on PC and consoles in 2020 - and now here too! Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mtvHGrPyJw8 As…

@Cryptozeug

Aaaaaand I'm online again. You can hardly imagine how few mobile data connection there is in the high-tech wonderland Germany. Most of the time I couldn't even open noise. Notifications are apparently deleted after two days, so I decided to just ignore the past week here. I will relive the week's holiday here next week and share it with you. No exact route, nothing too private, but I can promise you a few beautiful glimpses of nature. Tomorrow I'll sift through the pictures…

@Cryptozeug

The heron is ready for take-off. You too? We are on a houseboat somewhere between Brandenburg and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in Germany. An area where you can buy honey from the beekeeper directly at the jetty and differences in altitude are overcome not with stairs but with locks. An area with almost no road (noise) or light pollution. An area with many lakes and canals. The first day was correspondingly adventurous. Learning to control the boat, the first lock passage, the…

@Cryptozeug

With the darkness, calm comes over the lake. The waves get shallower, the sounds of nature quieter. We lie on the shore, the little boys already asleep and the big boys sitting on deck with a beer. It gets a bit spooky when the views can no longer see through the forest directly in front of the boat, the mosquitoes attract the bats at the anchor light and spiders come out of their hiding places everywhere. But that's exactly what makes it so appealing.

@Cryptozeug

Our start to the next day. With a good coffee and a Punk IPA and a little fishing, a morning like this is easy to endure. Where will we get to? No idea at this moment. Will we get some nice animal photos? Most certainly. More about that later.

@Cryptozeug

Geese straight ahead! Too late to brake but luckily they have the third dimension to evade. A great sight right in front of the boat. The freedom on the water is great but flying with own wings would be nice too.

@Cryptozeug

The Müritz is the largest lake that lies entirely within Germany. And it is truly gigantic. The Mirow lock is the "gateway to the Müritz" and an impressive structure, especially when you have to pass through. After the lock follows a 12 km long canal and then the "little ocean" opens up, which is probably what Müritz means in Slavic. It's not so easy to show this expanse from a boat, but I think you'll get the idea. In any case, it is too dangerous to dare to cross, so after…

@Cryptozeug

Pictures of a wonderfully quiet night. The moon rises directly in front of the deck, above us the bats, above them only the Milky Way. Trying to capture this with a phone camera on the deck of a swaying boat is almost hopeless. Nevertheless, I would like to show you a few of the attempts. Enjoy this short moment!

@Cryptozeug

Probably one of the best views you can have from a toilet window. Maybe a bit noisy so close to the engine, but that has its advantages... We docked in a small town later to do some shopping and eat something. The water tornado fascinated the boys and me too, to be honest. Just turn the crank and off it goes. Towards evening, we wanted our peace and quiet again and, as always, looked for a lonely spot.
