I don't like helicopter parents who are constantly hovering around their child. But nevertheless, with the help of technology, I am glad to know in which part of Europe my son is at the moment. And somehow it feels like I'm taking a little flight myself. Exciting. Have a good flight!

There is a difference between safety and helicopter parenting. I have an app on my kids phone that can track their GPS coordinates and give me directions to them. Do I ever use it to "stalk" on them? Nope, but it's nice when they ask me to pick them up from the mall and I can just check to see which door they are waiting at because directions are not their strong suite :)
Yes, that can be quite practical. I don't have such an app and probably wouldn't use it. But if everyone knows about it and agrees, that's okay.
I'm glad you agreed to not use it. :/
I, as a child with protective parents can confirm that I'd hate my live location shared all the time. Privacy is a big thing to me
Technology really a big help for all of us. As a parent you might be more okay seeing that your son is having a safe flight.
I guess I have that to look forward to!
