“Let us therefore draw near with boldness unto the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace to help us in time of need.” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4:16‬ ‭RV1895‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/1922/heb.4.16.RV1895 Today’s verse struck me a little strange. I love this verse and really feel that it has great power for those in times of difficulty, but today, let’s look at being in a time of need. Being in a time of need- what does that mean? When we have a time of need, we really need to check our perspective. Do we really have a time of need, or are we looking at our life from a skewed perspective? Are we living in a war zone like Yemen or the Ukraine? Are we without family or home? By family, I mean live ones and the traditional meaning of “family”. Do we have enough money to have a decent meal? Do we have a functioning mind and body? Are we free from abuse- both mentally and physically? When you have trouble, of course, get closer to the Lord and ask for His love and mercy. But at the same time, need of no need, snuggle up to Him and always give thanks and praise for what you have. Adjust your perspective. See your life as He does. I mentioned the war in Yemen above. Yes, there is a war there and it’s a shame that it’s unpopular in the media. This was had been going on for almost a decade. It relieves little too no press. This is a shame that the media covers up one west while exploiting another. Give your prayers to those who need them regardless of where they are or what’s popular. The Lord love us all.
