“Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer each one.” ‭‭Colossians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭RV1895‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/1922/col.4.6.RV1895 Today’s verse is truly full of wisdom. As followers of Christ, we must put forth our best example of what we believe and stand for. Just like Paul, when people know us, we stand for so much more than ourselves. We stand for what we believe, where we are from, our family, and even our work. It sounds a little old fashioned, but people still judge others by these symbols. As an American in Asia, I get judged a lot by what people think of my country, both the good and the bad. Those that know my family, judge me by what they think of them. Those that know I’m a teacher, judge me by what they think of teachers. While this common and not special, I would like to be judged as a follower of Christ. If they judge me as good and righteous, I would like to prove them right. If they have had a bad run in with the church, for whatever reason, I would like to prove them wrong and show them the love of the Lord. Hopefully, I would impress them and add them to our wonderful church. Today let’s focus on doing everything with grace and love in the name of Christ Jesus.
