When you start your crypto journey one of the first things to do is to download a wallet for the coins you will buy. Many people opt for a Multi Coin Wallet, it's only one app and gives you access to a good amount of different coins. Some examples of this wallets are Exodus wallet, Atomic Wallet and Jaxx Liberty.
You have to be very carefull, always download this wallets from their official website, even if it's for Android or IOS, go to the website and click the link that will take you to your download page in Play Store or App Store.
I'm saying this because there are a lot of fake wallets in the stores and you might download the wrong one and when you deposit you will get robbed. This Scammers are in the crypto world for a long time and have already stole so many people's coins. When searching on google for the wallet never click on a link that says AD behind it, this might be scams, always click the official link without the Ad behind.
After you setup your wallet there's another thing you need to know, if you require support for help, know that nobody from the official support team will ever ask you for your seed phrase, if anyone asks you, it's a scam and you are talking to a random scammer not an official person from support. You have to be carefull asking in reddit for assist to, somebody might send you a private mensage saying they are the support team, but again if they ask you your seed phrase they are trying to scam you.
The scam normally acts like this, someone mensages you and asks you about your problem, you answer it and they say that you have to backup your wallet in their servers and they give you a link. Know this you never have to backup your wallet in any server you just have to keep your seed phrase for yourself. After you open the link the scammer website will ask you for your seed phrase, don't do this, if you do your coins will all be stolen. The person trying to scam you will say that this is a normal procedure. It's not a normal procedure. If this happens just ignore their message and delete it, this guys come from nowhere to try to scam you.
So as always keep your seed phrase to yourself and know that you are the only person that should now this seed phrase and nobody else.
