Today has been one hell of a day for me. Had the usual busy day at work, finished late and got home to take a little nap before I could plan for my dinner. So lunch today was super amazing 😉 I went again for a business lunch to the restaurant called Baladna (whose interior I posted 2 days ago). Had the most creamy Hummus with meat and then lamb chops with a tray of oven baked minced meat 🤤 Anyways I would rate my experience 10/10😍😉
So I had to get to an exchange to send some money back home for an investment that I made recently. The exchange is at an area where there is too much on going construction. So I opted to go there with our metro😉 As you can see due to the fear of Covid the metro is still mostly empty. I got a chance to sit in the front with a clear view of the tunnel 😛😉
Been working on my final year project proposal for the past two weeks and finally submitted it this Sunday. Now waiting for the response from my project coordinator and the mentor if it is approved or not. I have a feeling that it will be approved as the mentor was very confident about my idea 😉 Anyways the feeling you get when you finally submit a paper or deliver a project is truly satisfying 😊

Kist dropped my car at the mechanic to get my cars lower arms changed as they were making much noise since past some weeks. Keeping a car and then maintaining it are two different things and much effort is required to effectively maintain any car. Just now while checking what else might have gone bad in the car, the mechanic told me he might need to open the steering wheel box to make sure all is good. Too much unwanted expenses 😔😵💫

Went for a late night coffee with friends. Kaldi is a new joint in Qatar which replaced Costa coffee chain here. I usually order the Spanish Latte as it is just perfectly sweetened 😉. A nice well spent for me I guess. Heading home now😊
Just got a call from my mechanic that my car is ready for collection 😉 I dropped it at his garage on Thursday to get some issues fixed and check if any other things need to he fixed. He just called that all is fixed and I can collect it😊 The thing is now is the moment of truth, I am not sure how much bill he has made 😅😅. I hope it is within my monthly budget. How about a cup of tea 😉 Hi am heading for an outgoing with family and will post about it once I reach there😊. I usually don’t have much time to spend for family gatherings and outing but this time I managed by keeping my schedule clear and also since the weather is really nice, it is totally worth it 😉😊
So in my previous post I said that I was going on a outing with family. Well I went to this beautiful family beach😍 It is called “Al wakrah souq beach” and is really a preference for families as it has many restaurants and other facilities available for adults and kids. The water was not very clear today as there was too much seaweed so I did not take a dip. Anyways the trip was well worth it and we had fun😊
Finally got my car back from the mechanic. Luckily the job was well done and the bill was also reasonable 😉 I ended up paying 350 dollars the parts and labour charges. The parts were quite expensive but to be honest, the ride has become much smoother after aligned. Hopefully no other major expense will hit me for a while.
For some reason my nights have become sleepless and longer 🙃. I try to go to bed earlier but still cannot get good sleep. Just last night I barely slept for five hours even tough I😔 was in my bed for seven hours or more. I hope it is just a phase that will pass as constant sleep is really needed for a sound mind and body😊 Anyways, to go with my post I had to find a night shot😅. This one seagull was making sure no one swims in the lake in Hyde Park London😍😅 Looked like he appointed himself the warden and made sure no ones breaks the rules 😜. Not far from the Lake in Hyde park, is this flat fountain dedicated to the memory of late princess Diana😉 She really was the most elegant princess British royals have seen till date. There are other memorials spread across Hyde park but this is one of the most prominent ones😍
One of the best things to witness in London is the Queen’s guard changing ceremony at Buckingham Palace 😍 So these guys come on horses and road is blocked for cars and people. Then they have some kind of military ritual that releases the existing guards of their duty and new ones take their place. It is usually a quick ceremony but it is lovely as tradition is seen in such activities 😊

In contrast to my last post, this is another side of Tokyo that we usually see in movies or TV. It is the concrete jungle in central Tokyo, Japan 🇯🇵 For me Japan was equally fascinating at both ends as the country and it’s people have a different vibe and doesn’t compare to anywhere else in the world😉
Night life in Japan is also different level 😉 When I was there, I noticed that Japanese people are very expressive of their fantasies and are not ashamed of showing them through their lifestyles and habits. Whenever you post about Japan, their culture always becomes a prominent feature in all their attractions. One of the things that Learnt when I was there is the significance of the gates or passage entry structure seen in this photo. 😉 They resemble the presence of Shrine in the area. This is the Windsor Castle in the United Kingdom 😉 This is where Prince Harry and Megan Merkle got married and this castle is also one of the residences of the Queen herself. Since Buckingham Palace is too commercialized, she hardly goes there now and spends much time in Windsor Castle when she is in London😉 It was not allowed to take any pictures from inside but I can tell you their wedding dresses and other objects used in wedding are on display there

Well last night I had a really late dinner at KFC. Out with family for another say at the beach 🏖 The weather is really nice and the water super clear and worth the swim. I just had my lunch there at the beach and then went for a dip. I came here early so found a nice spot, now many other families have also come and some of them had to go back because there was no place to sit and do picnic

Santorini has a total different vibe than everywhere else in the world I have been. I mean look at those beautiful whitewashed buildings in the middle of the ocean. The whole Island is like that and some minarets with blue tops act like a cherry on the top to enhance the beauty of those structures. 😍 I was there for a total of 5 days back in 2015 and they still are part of my best memories 😊

One hell of a troubleshooting session happening at work today. Past four hours me and my manager has been all in on it and trying to figure out to use a new KVM switch to toggle between multiple devices with one display screen. Finally after four hours we made it work but it still is not stable, possibly because both PCs are from different makers. Anyways, I guess it is enough for today and we will continue tomorrow 😅

It was back in 2015 when I visited Frankfurt, Germany 🇩🇪 and someone recommended me to take a drive of about 1 hour from my hotel to reach this hiking / walking place to enjoy the fresh morning breeze. When I go back and remember these shots, I thank myself that I did go there😍😉

When you have nothing to do at weekends, the safest option is to head to a mall to enjoy some window shopping and possibly some dinner 😅 This is mall of Qatar about which I have posted before as well that it is the most luxurious mall in all of Qatar and has a wide range of restaurants for all type of cravings 😉

It is build with in old caves snd most of the hotels are called cave hotels. There are some other hotels also but tourist always prefer cave hotels 😉

Due to pandemic all of the hypermarkets have started the option to shop online through their apps and websites but the problem comes when you buy fruits and vegetables. Found this one from shot from my Cappadocia visit in Turkey 😍. This was snapped just when the helium was being filled in Hot air Balloons and they were taking up shape 😉. One cool thing is that the guy who guides the balloon in the air are called captains also as they steer to balloon in the air. This was another shot that I managed to snap that day while I was visiting there, the scenery just appealed me way too much and I never thought that a historical structure can ever be so blended in nature to give us such a view 😍
I had a really eventful day today. After work I was invited to an event about sustainable design. There were three panelists, two from Qatar and one from Uk. Since Qatar is going to host the world cup next year, such events are a part of Qatar building a positive image around the world.
Well a lady friend sent me this photo and asked me to help her choose which one is best for her to buy. Looks like there is a sale at “Pandora” which is a nice international brand for ladies and has pendent jewelry. Honestly I am not got at deciding thing but from her tone I thought she wanted me to buy for her 😅😅. Anyways which one looks nice?

I ended up buying some snacks that I had in the mall if self. The best feature in this mall design in my opinion is the ceiling and the lights are are illuminating it 😍

I had the busiest and most tiring day in a long while. Went to work in the morning and then after the say finished Immediately left for my volunteering training after changing. #throwback to when I was wandering around in Frankfurt Germany in search of some nature 😉. Frankfurt is usually considered the financial hub of Europe and a metropolitan city but it also has a fair share of nature😍. There are lush green fields and some view points. In addition some hiking trails are also there 😉
So I was invited to this alumni festival at my college from where I graduated more than 10 years ago. I entered through the main courtyard which is also the admin building of the college and they had flags of many countries hanging in there. It was a pleasant surprise to see Pakistan’s flag among many others and I had to take this shot 😉

The number one show in the region is the this new Korean show called “hellbound” and apparently it has removed squid game from number one , so I decided to start watching it😉. Already finished the first episode and so far it looks really interesting 😉

Yesterday I made a post about a Korean show on Netflix called “Hellbound” which as taken the number one rank from Squid game. So far I have already watched five episodes and in mu opinion this show puts squid game to shame😉. I found it much more interesting and thrilling and am really hooked to it now 😅

A picture from a trip to desert around two years ago. Dunning and camping season has already started in Qatar since the weather got better but I did not get a chance yet to visit the sand dunes . Since I am on a strict diet with low carb in focus, seafood is a good alternative as it is healthy and delicious 🤤. Right now I am really craving for these Peri Peri shrimps that I had sometime back in one of the restaurants at a mall. I am searching for them in online food ordering app and will surely order them if they are there. If not, I might have to settle for something else 😅
We are almost in December now and still there is no sign of clouds here in Qatar. This is a shot from last year winter when it usually rains in Doha but so far nothing this year. Even the forecast is dry. Since we hardly see overcast weather in Qatar, people here usually enjoy such weather way too much 😅

Just opened Facebook and it is showing me memories of two years ago when I had this feast with friends over a weekend. It was Arabic Kabsa rice with buried lamb meat. Does any of you here use a hardware wallet to store their crypto? I remember back in 2017 I bought this Nano ledger hardware wallet to store my crypto but be honest I never used it 😅. According to Snapchat, I was there on this day last year and I remember my staycation there as it was just yesterday 😉. The management of Island has done a really good job with the decorations and design of the structure and maintained its luxurious status nicely 😊😉
Sitting in the office on my desk and looking at the map of Al Bayt Stadium in Qatar where I have my first shift as a volunteer today. Honestly I am a bit excited and nervous also ; excited because it is going to be a new and fabulous experience and nervous because I am not really sure who I will meet there and if there will be some comfortable location for volunteers to work during the shift. Anyways looking forward to it.
So as promised here is the first up close picture of one of the Fifa Arab cup stadiums in Qatar called “Al-Bayt” stadium. It is shaped like a tent which is the way old arab people used to live in desert. The way Bayt in Arabic means house and hence this name and designs align perfectly. I will be sharing more as my shift progresses 😉
