OK now when we think of our dream job, we always think of something that we have always wanted to do. A job that actually makes us happy. 

A lot of us dream to be our own boss. A lot of us want to make a seven figure income per year. Alot of us fail. 

What can we do better? Probably everything.

We can always do better. But the problem is that we get too darn complacent for our own good.

Sometimes, even when we simply go about our daily routine, we do it without question. We also become too used to the idea of our daily routine. 

We love our daily routine

That’s the problem!

We don’t know any better. We do know that if we break our daily routine or redefine it, we won’t be comfortable anymore.

Furthermore, as the creatures of comfort that we are, that is also what hinders our growth. 

Our potential is tapped because we won’t allow it to be untapped. We are too stubborn. We wouldn’t dare become uncomfortable on purpose. 

As the prolific hip hop artist Cardi B once said..

“don’t get comfortable”

The only way to solve this is to break out of our normal daily habits and try to actually make a step towards our dreams. 

If your dream job is to become, for instance, a writer, then you must set a schedule to write daily. 

Even if you don’t do your best writing at first. It’ll get better. And you will, in the back of your mind, know that you are working towards achieving your dream.

This is when the gears get set into motion. Then, things start slowly happening. You start getting more views, more followers, and more money in due time.

Procrastination can kill dreams. Don’t procrastinate. There’s no better day to start working towards your dreams than today. 

Dare to break free from your daily habits and maybe add more productive ones. Instead of just watching tv like usual, set aside that time for you, coffee (or your beverage of choice) and writing.

It’s all about baby steps to get started and then you can start making more drastic changes to your schedule. 

Adding exercise to your daily schedule can be another good habit to add to your routine. It can also be a game changer for you as well, physically and mentally. But, we’ll discuss those benefits on a later article. 

I’m just throwing out ideas for you to break out of the rut and start turning your goals into reality, one baby step at a time. 

I hope I at least got you to thinking about what could be hindering you from becoming your best you. 

Gawd knows we all have untapped potential. If only, we can somehow actually make necessary changes to start working towards that end. 

It won’t be easy and, most importantly, it won’t be comfortable changing your old habits that are dragging you down and making you unproductive. 

But, that’s the whole point!

Remember, nothing changes if nothing changes

The best time to start making changes is now. You may see a world of difference. Or, you may not. 

But you’ll never realize your full potential if you never try to break your regular habits and take chances to be great.

So tap into the ultimate you and make a change for the better today!
