By investopedia, Investing is the act of allocating resources, usually money, with the expectation of generating an income or profits.

How does it work?
You need to locate a new project or an ICO , do your research into that project intil you're confident that it will flourish in the near future, invest as much BCH as you can into it and then have patience. While doing this , you have to listen attentively to the news in order to get updated about the project and process further plans based on that info.
Points to note
Do not Invest more than 20% of your networth into your tagged trusted project.
Do not Invest more than 5% of your networth in a slightly researched project to an untrusted project or coin.
DYOR ( Do your own research)
Listen attentively to the news for any further updates.
Get out out soon as possible with any amount of profit that you have made even if it's 1% profit when you are convinced that the project will collapse soon.

We don't need to take the risk investing in a platform where its transparency is as clear as the moisted glass. There are lots of investment platform that have very clear transparency. Even though it will take a longer time for you to profit, it is risk-free and your money is safe. Long-term legit investment platform are way better than a here now gone tomorrow platforms.
