Learning about the wonders of WebP vs GIF. Mainly the filesize savings which is considerable! Seems like WebP is widely enough supported these days to use freely? I do notice for large WebP/GIF, Firefox animates them a trifle smoother than Chrome/Vivaldi...

I keep wondering why BCH is #4 in 24hr volume on CMC... CONSISTENTLY... and yet the price per coin just languishes. I'm not bitter about it, BCH is usable at any price. Just really wondering how a coin doing so much volume doesn't trade higher. OTOH, the number of BCH coins traded every 24hrs is literally >50% of the entire supply. Is it possible there's a huge amount of wash trading going on? Fewer than a million BSV and BTC coins each get exchange traded on the daily. WHAT is different about BCH that 10 to 12 million coins get traded every day? 🤔

@CryptoWyvern

There's something vaguely depressing about the liminal space between finishing one task, knowing you need to be somewhere in 30mins, and not knowing what to do with yourself in the meantime. It's just enough time to be bored, but not enough time to, say, start reading a book.

@CryptoWyvern

If you started with $1 and could double it every month, how long would it take before your investment reached $1,000,000? Just 21 months, less than 2 years. Current ROI rates on many #SmartBCH #DeFi projects are even HIGHER than that! Caveat: Those rates won't last 21 months.

@CryptoWyvern

Trying out #SmartBCH liquidity pool staking. Earned some tokens, traded half for BCH, then traded those for more liquidity pool tokens. Tried to add them to my stake... INSUFFICIENT FUNDS. I hadn't left enough WBCH in my wallet for gas to move my liquidity tokens. Frustrating. I couldn't even sell some of the liquidity pool tokens back to get more WBCH, insufficient funds for that too. I ended up having to bridge more BCH => WBCH to get it unlocked again. I'm new to #DeFi, so I'm sure it's common. It just seems odd to me that it allows you to do this.

@CryptoWyvern

#SmartBCH is nuts and growing like crazy. There's no telling if this momentum will hold, ramp up further or die off. If it holds or increases, even if 90% of the tokens end up being worthless, so much value is being generated there's no way $BCH remains at this bargain price.

@CryptoWyvern

My mundane nightmares are all school-related: 1) Showing up late 2) Leaving one class and not knowing what nor where my next class is 3) Showing up to class and everyone is handing in the huge mid-term project that I haven't done a lick of work on Noise.cash therapists, help!

@CryptoWyvern

I've been trying to get Metamask to work for the past month and I can't get past the JS console error: "Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 429 (Too Many Requests) sentry.io/api/273505/store/?sentry_key=..." Can't find any help resources online. Any help here?

@CryptoWyvern

Inflation is a big talking point lately, but really how would you prepare for it other than the trite suggestions to buy gold and crypto? What else can you do that would help? How do you "trade inflation" to come out ahead? 🤔

@CryptoWyvern

Got my holiday Purse.io order filled with a great discount at Amazon Canada using $BCH. You can too here: https://purse.io/?_r=xHsQHv Never pay full price for your #Amazon purchases by using crypto. Sorry, not sorry if the phrase "using crypto" offends you. #ItsJustMoneyBro

@CryptoWyvern

It still blows my mind daily, that the people in charge of a GUARANTEED world-changing technology #Bitcoin allowed $BTC to be crippled so that almost 13 YEARS later, widespread adoption as currency is still nowhere in sight. We've been played, and so many refuse to see it.

@CryptoWyvern

Taking away someone's ability to work, or travel to their work is a HUGE policy mistake. If someone isn't working, they're suddenly free to march, protest, riot or worse. "We're gonna make sure you feel your precious 'resistance' in your pocketbook when you're out of a job," is literally the worst possible take, one that can ONLY be taken when completely blinded by elitist arrogance.

@CryptoWyvern

I mean, I get what people are going for when they use the phrase "aged like milk" but when I think of "aged milk" I think of cheese, and cheese is good. The more it ages the better. I love me some well-aged milk AKA cheese.

@CryptoWyvern

Hey n/Cigars peeps! Long time no noise :) Watching some handegg today and enjoying a Liga Undercrown by Drew Estates. These sticks are consistently good and I happily recommend them. #Cigars

@CryptoWyvern

So conflicted between influencers who say "put 10% of your assets in crypto" and those who say "it's only a matter of time before banks fail and take all your savings; put it ALL (or most) in crypto." I mean, which is it? 😝

@CryptoWyvern

I'll admit it: Anyone but England for the Euro 2020 Cup. Come on Italy!!!

@CryptoWyvern

I just watched Detective Pikachu for the first time. It's a good movie, but for me it failed because I feel I 100% succeeded in hearing the main characters' entire stories. They won, yay, and now I don't need to know any more about them. That's the wrong way to write a story, IMHO. A good story is always just a slice of a larger story. The larger story doesn't have to be in-your-face, but it establishes that these characters have interesting lives outside the relationships built within the smaller, targeted story. In Detective Pikachu, I felt like the targeted story of Tim and his father was all there was. They should have given Tim more dimension. And they should have left Harry as a pikachu. :P

@CryptoWyvern

The Odd Taxi ending was a real mindf*ck. Holy wow. Highly recommended anime if you ask me. #Anime

"Hello future millionaire." Have you seen this dude or any of his videos? His YouTube channel is called "1stMil.com". A lot of BCH supporters are jumping on his bandwagon over his offer to buy 111 Teslas with BCH and his prediction that BCH will hit $500,000 by 2024. That's some real quality hopium! Unfortunately, as his latest videos have shown, he's just some weird shill with weird theories about the matrix and everyone being "earth angels". And now, just as Craig Wright has won a sham of a court case against bitcoin.org and his fraudulent copyright claim on the Bitcoin whitepaper, Mr 1stMil has dropped a video claiming the "idea of Bitcoin came to CSW" and others, conveniently stopping *just short* of claiming Craig actually created Bitcoin. In a clarifying comment on the video, 1stMil claims that Craig is *not* Satoshi, but "choose a name for your baby" IOW "Bitcoin". It's clear this man knows very little about the history of Bitcoin, CSW, Bitcoin Cash or the BCH/BSV split. Craig is a proven plagiarist, liar and copyright troll. Keep subscribing to 1stMil if you like, as he's provided *some* evidence that he actually owns quite a bit of BCH, but other than that he's no better than a random reddit shill. Proceed with caution.

What do you do when you have too many bookmarks? I can use the same bookmark for 100 books and I don't like reading more than one book at a time. I am gaining bookmarks at a rate which far exceeds my ability to use them. Help!

@CryptoWyvern

The Zapit wallet is great for SLP tokens, but really finicky with BCH. I exported the seed to both Electron Cash SLP Edition and pokkst's pokket.cash app and if I send just one BCH TXN from either, Zapit loses track of the change and shows a $0 balance.

@CryptoWyvern

I like a lot of movies, and you probably do too. But perhaps 99% of movies I'd say I liked, I wouldn't be able to recount the whole film from memory. I'd forget scenes, or abridge the plot, because really you're just remembering the feeling you had while you were watching it. But there are some films that really speak to you. Ones that touch your memory on a deeper level. Those are the films that you could recount scene by scene, perhaps even line by line, because they mean that much to you. Give me a reply and tell me what movies you could repeat, scene by scene, if you needed to! I'll go first. For me, it's How To Train Your Dragon. I think I saw it seven times on the big screen in theaters, and countless times afterward. It's a really great story I identify with. Give me your best, noisers!

@CryptoWyvern

There's something to be said for the crypto wallets that do the job and carry on. I've downloaded PLENTY of fancy UI wallets that promised to be the next new sensation, but ended up stagnating as developers left or forgot about them. Electron Cash, despite the clunky-ness, just keeps on. It's actively developed by multiple teams, depending on the coin, and (usually) just works, no matter what you throw at it. Did you put some cash in a wallet two years ago that isn't maintained anymore and doesn't function? Electron Cash will help you get your funds back if you know the seed. Cheers to the Electron Cash developers! You peeps help keep the rest of us sane. 🍻

@CryptoWyvern

Everyone: "I've lost everything! I'm begging you! Please stop!" The crypto markets:

@CryptoWyvern

The best way to make money with Bitcoin Cash BCH is simply to spend and replace, replacing with a little more than you spent each time. Recurring buys are also good. Don't fall into the trap, looking at the big drop today, where you tell yourself "if only I'd sold for stablecoins before the drop, I'd have double BCH now!" No one can predict the drops, and those who DO only did because everyone is making predictions all the time and at least SOME of them have to wind up being true. The lucky ones who guessed right then get to milk their success; and THOSE are the people you hear about, not the 99% of everyone else who got it wrong. It's a real thing called "survivorship bias", look it up! I'll let you in on a little secret: I myself have only made ONE dynamite crypto trade in my entire life, and it was almost all pure luck. Considering my other trades, I've made 10% rarely, mostly broke even, several times lost a LOT. Those who talk about their SICK GAINS never tell you about the times they almost lost it all, because they want to appear like they know what they're doing, and the truth is... NO ONE DOES. At least not when it comes to the short term swings of the crypto market. But, if you believe in the long term success of crypto, then investing is a sure win as long as you buy it and leave it, or replace it if you spend it. Remember, at the end of the day, it's just money, bro.

@CryptoWyvern

I am ready for the big green candle. I was promised a big green candle. Where is the big green candle??? *visible confusion*

@CryptoWyvern

I bought the dip. Did you? BCH may be down more than BTC by %, but we retained the 0.02 BCH/BTC ratio support and have handily recovered to 0.0225 already since the bottom. Lower lows from here? Or upward again? In either case, BCH still has fight in it!

@CryptoWyvern

I have been getting "Hurry! Your $30 off coupon for Uber Eats expires soon!" emails for pretty much the entire COVID pandemic. Something tells me nothing is expiring and they're just desperate for me to order something. :D

Idea: A Zoom filter that places a digitally rendered mask over your face, so you look like you're wearing one to all the other participants while actually staying mask-free.
