How to connect your Ethereum wallet to Binance Smart Chain

Aside from the low fees, another reason I fell in love with BSC is that it is compatible with Ethereum.

That means it is seamless for developers to move their existing dApps on Ethereum onto BSC.

And you can use your existing Ethereum wallet on BSC without having to create a new one.

In this post, I am going to share with you the simple 3 step process to connect your Ethereum wallet to BSC.

So that you can trade and farm on BSC DEXs and farms with the same wallet you use on Ethereum.

So without much ado, let's get started.

How to connect your Ethereum wallet to Binance Smart Chain

Step one:

Open your browser and login to your Metamask Wallet

Step two:

Once logged in, click on the small drop-down arrow in front of Ethereum Mainnet.

Step three:

The next step is to enter the Binance Smart Chain network credentials in the form that opens, as below.

• Network name: Binance Smart Chain

• New RPC URL: https://bsc-dataseed1.binance.org:443

• ChainID: 56

• Symbol: BNB

• Block Explorer: https://explorer.binance.org/smart

Once done, then click the Save button.

Congratulations!

You have successfully connected your Ethereum wallet to the Binance Smart Chain.

All you have to do now is switch between Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain whenever you want to use them.

To do that, click on the small drop-down arrow in front of the name of the chain, you're currently using.

Then select Ethereum Mainnet or Binance Smart Chain, depending on which you want to use at the moment.

Conclusion

Your wallet address remains the same.

And you can send both Ethereum and BSC tokens to the same wallet address.

But when sending coins to your wallet, you must specify whether it's BSC or Ethereum from wherever you're sending from.

Once you have the right tokens in your wallet you can switch between the two blockchains easily.

When you want to use a BSC DEX or protocol, you switch to Binance Smart Chain.

And when you want to use the Ethereum chain, you switch to Ethereum.
