The cryptocurrencies presented below are projects that I find interesting to follow and which could prove to be good investments for 2020 (or after).

Always do your own research before investing!

The first part of this post (Part1) includes the most capitalized cryptocurrencies and therefore the safest ones (ofcourse, nothing is ever safe!).

Bitcoin

I think this cryptocurrency will always remain the largest capitalization in the market.

It is an investment that will not earn you 10 times your investment in a year but it is, in my opinion, the safest investment to make if you want to invest in cryptos.

The number of developers working on the project is the highest of the whole crypto ecosystem and the innovations in progress are very numerous: Lightning Network, Signatures of Schnorr ...

Ethereum

The decentralized global computer network still has many good years ahead of it (in my opinion). With the development of decentralized finance, the number of ethers collateralized (pledge) continues to increase! Recent updates seem to have gone well. Regarding the transition to proof of stake in 2020 (Casper), difficult to say, a cohabitation between proof of work and proof of stake seems more likely.

For the moment no decentralized application seems to be widely used (with the exception of Steemit), but 2020 could be the year.

However Ethereum is not the only one in this field and many more or less serious competitors exist. I can cite: Tezos, EOS, TRON, NEO ...

NANO

Bitcoin is often criticized for the fact that it is not possible to carry out a lot of transactions per second, and that the costs of the transactions can quickly increase. I find that NANO has solved the problem rather well thanks to a specific "blockchain": DAG (Directed Acyclic Graph). Indeed, it is possible to make micro-payments quickly and almost without charges.

The other advantage (which can also be a disadvantage) is the lack of remuneration for the nodes, so it is based solely on the good will of people and almost anyone can have a NANO node.

There is a fairly strong and active community around this project, nearly 50,000 people follow Reddit and nearly 100,000 Twitter subscribers in December 2019 for 50th place according to CoinMarketCap.

Komodo

This cryptocurrency is based on the security of the Bitcoin network (which as a reminder has never been breached). Indeed, the Komodo blockchain is "saved" in the blocks of the Bitcoin blockchain in order to resist attacks 51% for example. It also allows, if desired, to completely anonymize its transactions because it uses ZCash technology: zk-SNARKs.

Here is what Komodo wants to bring to cryptocurrencies:

the unification of cryptocurrencies: making them interoperable. This means giving the possibility of simply exchanging Monero for Litecoin without having to carry out several manipulations on exchange platforms thanks to their DEX (decentralized Exchange).

have a complete ecosystem in which to create your own blockchain (independent, no need to run the Komodo blockchain to function). The blockchain that can be created is very easily customizable: it will be shabby (or not), block rewards, type of consensus (PoW or PoS). It is also immediately operational and tokens / coins can be exchanged directly in a simple and inexpensive manner.

easily secure your blockchain from the various possible attacks by saving it in the Komodo blockchain itself saved "in" Bitcoin. For this, 300 units of KMD are needed each year.

There is no entity behind Komodo, no offices ... it depends on everyone's will. This can have both good and bad sides (quick abandons ...).

Stay Tuned for (Part2). Thank you for your support.
