Maya, Do You Want To Try Bitcoin Cash At least for Once?
Maya or formerly known as Paymaya, one of the recognized E-wallet in the Philippines together with Gcash which is the popular one and Coins.ph where Filipino BCH hodlers store their Bitcoin Cash. After they rebrand , Maya launched crypto features in April 14 2022 for their users so they can hold , buy and sell cryptocurrency for as low as P1 or $0.018 which is amazing!
In this kind of offer, Filipinos can easily try cryptocurrency. Apart from it, Maya is using cryptocurrency as an alternative rewards for their users. They they using them as incentives in exchange for the activities of the users (e.g new user registration, billing task and many more).
On the other part, the E-Wallet started to list their primary cryptocurrencies including BTC, ETH, LINK, ADA, MATIC, DOT, UNI, SOL, USDT, and QNT. Recently they added 5 more such as (ALGO), Ape Coin (APE), Avalanche (AVAX), Dogecoin (DOGE), and Stellar (XLM). In their latest post on their Facebook page, they will going to add another 5 including COSMOS(Atom), Decentraland(Mana), Axie Infinity (AXS) and The Sandbox (Sand).
Upon checking the list, you can see that Bitcoin Cash is not on their list which is surprising or they just not add it because they don't know that Bitcoin has forked yet much better version?
Been tried to ask what are the reason why Bitcoin Cash is not on their list in thier socials to expect some good answers but still no response. Indeed, this E-Wallet is sleeping. They want markets and popularity, not realizing that most of the Filipinos are storing and using Bitcoin Cash compare to the crypto included in the list.
One thing I discovered was, all the crypto they listed were the trending and popular one except ETH and BTC which are very recognizable. As you can notice, Avalanche, Axie Infinity and Ape coin are the trendy one, especially Axie that too popular for the Filipinos as the top players of the Axie Infinity NFT game.
By realizing some things, I think Maya did not included Bitcoin Cash for the following reasons:
Popularity
Well, upon checking the coin listed, maybe Maya crypto researchers relied based on the popularity. Most of the listed coins are all new and latest. Of course, this will keep them on trend and keep in touch with each creators of the coins they listed. It's all about business though.
Confusion
I don't know but I will hardly laugh if they don't know what is the difference Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin. Maybe they're just confuse or not aware that Bitcoin Cash is existing. Doge, BTC and ETH are all listed and forgot about BCH? xD.
Afraid
Bitcoin Cash is powerful when it comes to micro transactions. We all know BCH can send hundreds of transactions in just a seconds or minute. Since Maya is still new to adopt cryptocurrency transactions, I bet that BCH micro sending power will load their wallet hardly.
Lastly,
They're Still Young
It's been 5 months for Maya to adjust in this kind of service. Let's give them a time to make adjustments and let their selves discover crypto uses and difference. Maybe months from now, they can realise that adding BCH is beforehand is the best decision they made. Lol
Bottom Line
Since Gcash as top 1 popular E-Wallet in the country is preparing to adopt Cryptocurrency too, hoping that our coin will be included in the primary coin that they are going to list. Rooting for you Gcash!.
What do you think is the reason why Maya did not yet include Bitcoin Cash? Let me know in the comment section.
