So the reason why people use Litecoin over Bitcoin for everyday purchases is because the transaction fees are lower and it's also a faster payment turnover.

Litecoin (LTC) is a cryptocurrency launched by Charlie Lee in 2011 after the invention of Bitcoin by pseudonym group of people in 2009. Charlie Lee had been software engineer at Google also served as the Managing Director of Coinbase till 2017. He left all his post to gave full time to Litecoin Foundation. Charlie Lee aims at promoting the LTC and attracting more people to invest in the Litecoin.

Litecoin is decentralized peer to peer crypto currency. It is used for worldwide transaction purpose. Litecoin is widely accepted crypto currency. It is considered the lite version of the Bitcoin. Its founder Charlie Lee never express it as the competitor of the Bitcoin but call it "Silver of Bitcoin's Gold".

Litecoin also contains on the Blockchain technology. The chain of blocks in Litecoin saves the information of the users among those transaction take placed. The user id, transacted amount saved in the blocks in the form of hashes. Litecoin uses hashes algorithm called scrypt. It is usually pronounced as es-crypt.

Litecoin has less gas fee and it's transaction is fast and smooth then any other cryptocurrency. Litecoin is preferred more than any other currencies by the investors for the long term investing and business.
