Article # 03
Childhood is golden period of one's life. Childhood memories are comforting for the people of every age. It's the period when person is free from any responsibility. It's a period of love, care, nourishment, growth and learning. Childhood relationship and bonding stays long in life. No one can replace that memories joys what one have experienced in the childhood.
We all have different experiences of childhood because we all are from different families, culture, regions and mindset. Here I am going to share memories that recalled my mind today when I was taking tea with my younger sister Allen who is married in my Aunt house and currently residing at our house. Because her husband deals in import and export business and he have to immediately travelled out of city.
She told me that she want to go to see our Paternal Aunt Diana who lives nearby our home. Aunt Diana is married to a landsman, she has to look agriculturalist labour working in their land fields. Her daughter Mahii is the age fellow of my younger sister, both are very close to each other. Allen actually wanted to spend sometime with her but she told that she is medical student and goes to college thrice in a weak.
I astonishingly asked "Whyyyy ? Why she goes to school thrice in a week.?"
Allen told me that now classes are held just thrice in a week, Student get off on Friday Saturday and Sunday. I didn't said anything in response because I didn't appreciate this step personally. Because I believe that there is proper time to educate to youth. We should have preference to their career. We should organize something for their learning on daily basis. But it is the educational governmental policies, we just can protest about them.
I just remembered the days when I was student I walk daily 2 km to reach college. We just got a half day and we were happy with that. We were punished by the teachers if we skip any lecture or class. I clearly remember that once I didn't go to school and my father who was very strict about our education because he knows the power of education and he wanted to educate his daughter, asked me why I was absent from the school. I lied that it's a public holiday in schools today. My father laughed on my lie and advised me not to do this again otherwise I will be punished for it.
Unfortunately my father is no more with us but her dream Never let me stop and remains motivating me throughout my journey and I tries to give my best always. His all dreams are mine now.
I remembered that I was first admitted to the school, I was loved by the principal of the school. I cried : "I want to go to my mother. Mamaaaaa Aaaaaa Let me go to my house." Noseeee and Tears 😭 were flowing. But with the passing time I got familiar with the new friends and teachers.
After sometime Allen also joined the school and the journey became easy and happy for both of us. We are the only daughter of our parents so we have all memories together.
I remembered the day when we used to plunk the Jasmine Flowers and Rose from the garden near our home and put into our hair. The memories of playing Teddy Bear and Doll marriage can't be faded.
I still have the playing utensils that me and Allen have bought from a fair in the village. We had gang of friends that do a small parties. We all are neighbors too so always ready to play different games and plays.
It's all about the memories of the childhood. When I wanted not to go college but I get just one off on Sunday. It was a great time, Today I am happy for the environment that my parents created for me at that time that played great role in my learning. If today's students are getting time the learning should not be stopped. They should utilize their time as much they can.
