Meet the team behind TheJitteryApe
What happens when coffee meets NFTs the simple answer this really cool project and not only are the making NFTs they also are supplying coffee with NFT branding from artists in the Wax space and have a PFP coming soon this team is a couple which I think is really cool they are both involved in the crypto world and are really emerging there real life into the crypto world .
Hey
Hey there! We are Brittany and Chris
How you ?
Doing great ! Another awesome Wax Wednesday
What got you into crypto?
We started our crypto journey via stocks, first it was AMC and GameStop then some friends of ours got Chris into DAO’s and Crypto
How did you get discover NFTs?
We bought our first NFT from OpenSea after seeing it on twitter. It was a character that was suppose to be used as a video game character but the founder’s rug pulled.
Why did you choose WAX for your project?
The ecosystem and how friendly the other creators are. Also the availability of creator tools. When we first started our project we were developing on Solana and WAX at the same time. Solana came first, after a few months of building and connecting it became clear to us that WAX was not only a safer choice but also felt more like home.
What is the idea behind your project?
A rather simple one, its coffee with a side of adventure.
When did launch?
We launched our first NFTs the coffee beans and coffee maker, which are redeemable for IRL coffee on our website in August.
How many NFTs have you dropped so far?
Outside of the Coffee Beans & Maker our main collection are our PFPs. We currently have 18 of them out in the public.
What was the first one you dropped?
Our first NFT dropped was the Coffee Bean back in August
How did the community react?
The community reacted positively we have gotten the support of a lot of people on the WAX blockchain which we are thankful for.
When the next drop? Sneak peak?
Our next drop will be a limited run of Halloween themed PFP’s in collaboration with Krypto Kuma’s later this month.
What is the process of making your NFTs?
When we started building on the Solana blockchain earlier this year (February/March) we hired an awesome artist that created a bunch of assets for us. Using Adobe illustrator we can make custom PFP’s to suite whatever theme/style we desire.
What programs you use for creation?
Currently for creating across the board we use a mixture of Adobe illustrator, Procreate, Canva and coding.
How long this each NFT take to create?
Depends on the complexity or what we are trying to achieve, its a range from 30 minutes to a few hours.
What is your favourite NFT you have made? Why?
Our favourite NFT is the one we use on our social media and merch. He represents the brand and is simply awesome.
Have you done any collabs?
Yes, numerous with various projects on the WAX blockchain as well as Solana, Ethereum, Espers and Proton.
Who would be your dream collab?
Our dream collaboration would be putting together a mega fun adventure week for our PFP holders with some of the OG’s like Krypto Kumas, Shnazzy , Bret and Waxel
Are you a collector of NFTs?
Definitely, our collection across all blockchains include thousands of NFTs.
Who is your favourite NFT artist?
Hard to just say one. We enjoy art from quite a few artists
What has been the best part of doing your project?
Spending time together , learning and growing as a husband and wife
What has been the hardest part?
Maintaining expectations. We spent close to a year deep in Solana before deciding to switch to WAX. During the transition we lost a lot of interest/support from others. At the end of the day we had to do what was best for our family. The expectations of a project founder on WAX is totally different than Solana. During the solana phase we didn’t feel like ourselves and although we learned a lot and are thankful for the connections we made on the Solana blockchain, WAX just always felt like our home.
What's the long-term goal of the project?
Long term we would love to build a physical crypto themed coffee shop in Nashville , TN.
What does your family think of your project?
They find it very interesting and are very supportive.
Have you introduced anyone to WAX?
Oh yeah, definitely. We brought over a handful of people with the Solana to WAX transition as well as personal family/friends. What you like to do to unwind ? * Gaming, coding, family time.
Tell us something random about you?
Chris: I am currently a full time student learning full stack development and one day I want to make a video game that everyone will enjoy.
Brittany: I recently transitioned to WEB3 full time as the business success manager for Atomic Hub Marketplace.
Where is the best place to keep up with the project?
https://twitter.com/TheJitteryApe
Twitter, we constantly post updates and we have a separate community thread for PFP holders
Where can we buy your NFTs?
