Meet one the artist Wax Comics
Right this is an interview that happened last year where I had dropped a load of questions to Krel one of three artists behind Wax Comics and between the two of us it was put on hold I really don't know why . I do apologize about that but I am here now to share the back story all about Wax Comics and if you haven't checked them you should he recently dropped an interview on Swiss radio about his 120 comic book

What's your name?
Krel
Where you from?
Switzerland
Is this your full time job if not what is?
Making NFTs take me time but I normally draw comics on paper, and I teach in a Swiss art school.
What made you get into NFT design in the first place?
A small talk with friends, with the creators of wax.comics who are friends since childhood they told me « YOU HAVE TO ! » so … Here I am
Have you always been artistic?
I don't think it's something that just falls into your lap one morning
How long have you been designing NFT?
Not so long, I think since March 21 2022
Why do you design NFTs the way you do?
Because NFTs are digital, a lot of people draw directly in digital but I'm a paper lover so it’s fun to have a more traditional approach for NFTs.. It make them a little bit special.
Are you comic fans if you are DC or marvel?
I don’t really care about DC or MARVEL to be honest… There is a lot of marvelous US comics authors who teach me a lot about what comics are but they are more alternative. Like Chris Ware, Derf Backderf, Art Spiegelman, Joe Sacco… I stop now or I would never do it
Do you like to do collabs?
Yes, it's fun to fit into someone else's world… I did one with @EXITLIMBO, very nice to do.
How long from thought to finished NFT?
Hard to answer… Some takes me 3 to 5 hours and others 3 days…. Depend of the project…
What's your favorite NFT you have designed?
https://wax.atomichub.io/explorer/template/wax-mainnet/wax.comics/89260
I like Pedro the Rhino (From filibusters’s collection)
Who is your favorite NFT designer? Why?
To be honest I'm a little bit new in the industry so I don’t really have favorite for now… I like the univers of ExitLimbo, because they’re doing a great artist job but otherwise… I don’t know.
How many collections or cards have you made?
6 collections and some others unique cards
What your favorite software for designing NFT?
Paper and pencil, Then Photoshop
What's your most valuable NFT you have?
It depends on what you mean by « Valuable » but this one is for me very valuable….

Seeing my character snoring like this.... is beautiful
What advice do you have for people trying to get into NFT creation?
Don’t try to copy others… Find a way to surprise people with something different… Even if it take time to do your space… I will recommend that for everybody who are creative actually…
What hobbies do you have?
