Right its a pleasure to have this legend back to talk about his third phase of Mad Labs if you don't know DBorjs PenArts well now's the time to get to know him also this artist has had a big set back after his apartment caught fire he lost all his tech for creating but thankful he is back creating with the help of one his neighbours and I caught up with him just before the launch of his third series of Mad Labs but lets find out from .

Your on phase 3 how did the series all start?

MadLabs was just a temporary resolve on the pause of my previous collection the deck cards, but when I lost my drawings and instruments I made Madlabs more to somehow cope with the loss it wasn't called Madlabs it was suppose to be a Penartlabs when I was on break from the deck card project and to thank my wax brothers and wax fam by including them on the project. Anyway Madlabs was a childhood dream where I played as a scientist and experiment on pets and backyard animals with any household chemicals we have lol, like perfumes and powder soap. Phase 1 was just a test on what would be the outcome of using Neftyblocks blends, and it turned out well, I was able to rebuild and make up my loss, then phase 2 was also a test that includes other wax creators as collabs and they were just quick 2 -3 weeks run.

How did you get the idea for MADLABS?

You are launching phase 3 what will happen here?

Yeah phase 3 features most the Creators collab, I have 14 of my waxfam, and every product after blending have the authenticated copy of the original sketch making the final product a more collectible NFT, phase 1 and 2 have the same attributes and all products NFTs are template locked every end of the phase, so the minted NFTs are the last. Phase 3 will officially go live on July 2, so we are still on Phase 2 . Phase 2 ended on June 29th .

There is a lot of music artists mentioned there are they all providing music?

Yeah, the 2 upgrades will have a full soundtrack, while Yoshi, JRG, and Sublime sounds will have a cut track for their Product NFT also RAWR character will have music too since the character is a singer.

That sounds amazing . So how many cards will be in phase 3 to collect?

14 for Creators product, 9 for MetaHuman DNA test phase and 4 hidden collectibles in rewards

And how many NFTs do you need to blend?

For Creator Product user will need the cloned DNA of the creator mix with the specified DNA and then the SPC fusion, to get the product, for the Metahuman DNA user will mix it with any DNA and any color fusion and randomly get the product or the failed subject.

And how much should it cost us to get all the parts?

DNA capsules and color fusions are about 2 wax,, the SPC fusion is 6 wax since creators cloned DNA cost more RAM and CPU lol, then this phase 3 creators cloned DNA will cost 10 wax , 60/40 for creators and Madlabs, the upgrade 3BGR brew is 22 WAX cheaper chems are on cases and box. Phase 2 introduce the reward system, where a rank card where gifted to those who bought the access cards, in return of that access cards are B cases full of chems almost 50% off the price of the chems.

How has the community reacted to phase 1 and 2?

Oh they were a bit confused and MAD lol at first and when I put it in infographics and answer some question they have, they started to realize how fun it is to almost control what will be the outcome of blends, I made the MadLabs Black paper downloadable here https://dborjspenarts.com/madlabs so everyone could understand and know what's goin on inside Madlabs, since all my works are more just an art collectible, I made it fun and exciting.

Is there a favorite NFT through the 3 phases?

I see an almost equal amount of NFTs to most of MadLabs users, all product NFTs are all in higher rarities from Legendary to mythic and all MadLabs Products have the original sketch attributes.

So how long will phase 3 be open?

Phase 3 open on July 2nd.

Is there plans for a phrase 4?

Oh yeah there will be more phases and more Collabs

Do you have anything else lined up?

Only the MadLabs Phase 3 now, me and Muenster are thinking of a mini phase where all music NFTs creators collab.

Oh that's sounds cool. When will you start looking for artist for phase 4 and do you have any in mind?

Not yet but there are still more of my wax brothers and Waxfam out there that have not chat yet maybe when phase 3 is running I'll contact them and post something.
