It's been very nearly three weeks since showing up in Afghanistan. It's been extremely intriguing up until this point. We are over a mile above ocean level in Kabul, with mountains for what it's worth. The air here is thick with toxins, making the perspective on the taller, inaccessible mountains once in a while outlandish. The temperatures are not all that awful, highs in the low 90's, lows during the 60's. I realize that will change as winter draws near, I've been advised to hope to see day off.
I know it's right off the bat in the organization, however it's difficult to not contrast being here with my past arrangement to Iraq. Clearly, while I make examinations between the two in the blog, I'll be forgetting about a considerable amount of what it resembles here. Shhhh! It's a mystery.
Most importantly, when I went to Iraq, the Religious Support Team we were supplanting met us at the helicopter cushion and was glad to see us. They couldn't hang tight for us to arrive so they could return home. An incredible inverse half a month back. Somebody fail to tell anybody here that we were coming. Presumably on the grounds that we weren't supplanting anyone. In any case, none the less, we appeared, without work and without a spot to carry out that responsibility. We have since coordinated ourselves into the general mission, discovered activities, and incidentally, have some active occasions and loads of movement in front of us. However, first and foremost, it was a battle to remain in the battle. We're actually battling for a work area, yet in any event we have an occupation.
Furthermore, when I was in Iraq I just got the chance to go on one mission outside the wire. I had a decent organization, buckled down, and was fruitful in what I did, yet it was exhausting. I'm glad for he work I did, yet I ached to see the rest of the existence where I was at. In any case, that wasn't part of my expected set of responsibilities at that point. So far here, I've left the aggravate various occasions as of now. I got the chance to encounter traffic here. I got the chance to see individuals strolling here and there the roads. I could see their shops, their markets, the matter of life in this capital city. My solitary communication with any of the nearby populace are the ones that take a shot at the compound. They appear to be glad to have occupations, regardless of whether it is getting rubbish, cleaning the bathrooms, or working in the kitchen.
I'll close with one thing that is the equivalent from that point to now. We will carry out our responsibility, whatever is asked of us. We will finish the mission, regardless of how hard it is. We will be effective, regardless of what occurs after we leave. We will be glad that we did our part when we were called upon.
