The next charge was in an elongated shell with uranium 235 inside. He was taken on the ship Indianapolis to the territory of the Tinian air base. The charge was called "Kid" and soon he made the Japanese city of Hiroshima shudder.
The last charge was the so-called Fat Man. However, the Fat Man caused less damage than the Kid, since the port of Nagasaki was surrounded by hills.

Uranium-235 was mined not far from the site. Plutonium was obtained in a nuclear reactor on the territory of Washington. In general, about 125 thousand people took part in this large-scale project.
Despite such a large number of participants, secrecy was observed by all and not a single word even got into the allied countries.
In 1945, in the hot summer, plutonium hemispheres were delivered to the test site. The secrecy was so great that the crew of the car that delivered the bomb to the test site did not even know what they were transporting.
