We can't neglect the fact that our childhood is full of haply memories especially if you born in province in which everything surrounds you is natural and full of beauty. The sounds of birds, tall trees, wide oceans, wide farmland, farm animals, simple life and trustworthy people around you. It is true that Manila had the opportunity of money but province can guarantee happiness and less stress. Since the beginning, many Filipinos living at province thinking that Manila is an opportunity to become successful. When I was a young age, I was mesmerizing that Manila is full lol beautiful things, Airports, Airplanes, buildings, cars, shopping malls and many beautiful things. I was dreaming of living one day at Manila and now the time has come. The first time I went here on Manila, I was very excited, I saw big ships, big buses, lots of beautiful cars. But as the time goes by, I realized how hard the life here on Manila. Every move are in cost, the water has fee, electricity has fee and even moving a little bit has fee. In short every move here on Manila needs money. It differs from province in which life is very simple. There's less food shortage because the farmland is so wide that anyone can plant fruits and vegetables.

If you feel hungry then you can climb at trees and gather fruits. The life is simple with little difficulty. On my childhood, I experience planting crops on field during wet season such as rice and corn. I remember that it was June, rainy season and it was a great opportunity for farmers to plant crops. Before the method of planting rice seeds is manual. People nearby will gather and unite planting rice seed on farmland. I remember I have class that time, everytime my class ends, I immediately change my clothes then run into wet field and help planting. It is fun to do because I have companions in planting. My cousins and friends are also helping everytime there's a planting of rice. We are making a little swimming pool by collecting muds around and patch holes so that the water can't escape, after that we are ready to swim into dirty water together with different microorganisms. We are not afraid because Province people are not afraid to dirt themselves. It takes whole day before we finished 5 to 10 pieces of divided farmland. There is a lunch break, in which the people who helped planting rice crops are going to gather and eat. The viand is so delicious, dried fish with tinola. It was a good combination to cold weather. While eating there was a good discussion and plan. Every people in our province knew each other thats why there is full of stories and laughters around. Another unforgettable memory i have is the Fiesta in Lawigan. Provinces are well known for Fiesta and one time we attend Fiesta at lawigan, we first stop at a big house with lots of delicious food. I think it was the first house you can find once you get down at Lawigan.

There are different viand served, there is Caldereta, Adobo, KBL, even large shrimps are displayed on table. I was amazed that time because they have large flat screen T.V and the show is Knockout. It was my first time entering on such big house. After that, we continue roaming around every houses. It's normal to invite people you didn't knew and asked them to eat because it was the tradition in Provinces. Our second stop is on Talus-part of lawigan. There are houses there in which we are invited, our surnames known around Iloilo because our family is famous on curing unexplainable diseases made by supernatural creatures. My Lolo is famous on that field and he was well-known in Lawigan. Every people he encountered is asking us to eat inside their houses. We ate and ate until we are full. My sister asked permission so that we can roam around and meet some people and the main goal is to attend perya. Perya is a carnival in which there are different games around and you can bet to earn or loose money.

One of my favorite is Color game in which there's a probability that you can double or triple your bet. I have no large money that time and I'm just borrowing on my sister's pocket money. I lose money that time and i was roaming around until I found a gaming station. I saw a gaming machine in which the players needs to insert coins in order to play a game. I was innocent that time and I have no knowledge in playing such high tech games. I was there looking at people who playing and amaze on games flashing on my eyes. After that, we continue roaming around, we visited different houses and they are asking us to eat but we are already full. I saw a guy selling balloons and laser point, it cost 10 pesos or .20 USD, I have extra money thats why I decide to buy that toy. It was a laser point that can reach hundred meters. It has also design that can insert but it was good to use the original. We are using that laser every night pointing out in different places. Sometimes we are acting like police and searching for something. Those are the happy memories I have. I have lots of memories stored on my neurons, maybe I'll share it with you on my next article.

I also wish before to live in Manila tbh, but with the news that was scattered in every television, I change my mind. Not a safe place, yeah it's a cool place coz they have the tallest building, malls, and everything that any human can wish, but nahh. I'm still okay with our province. Mas safe, mas sariwa ang hangin, madami rin namang pogi kaya keri na ahahaha. Wala akong ala ala na nakarating na ako sa City, hangganh batangas lang ako ee ahaha

Those memories you can keep remembering..Oh how I miss the good old times with my cousins when we were just kids.. truly living in the province is much nicer than living in the city. Ibang klase pa ang fiesta. The perya is not my kind of fun but I once experienced it with my cousins before.

I miss my younger self more with this article.

God Bless!
